The Jet Black Blade, capable of cleaving mountains, met the Golden Giant Hand like an egg against a rock. Upon contact, it shattered into a storm of dark elements. Not only did it fail to counteract the force, but it couldn't even slow the Golden Giant Hand by a fraction.
The Jet Black Blade crumbled instantly, while the Golden Giant Hand radiated a divine glow, reaching out towards Clift with an unstoppable force.
"Damn it!" Clift exclaimed as he witnessed this magic in horror. With no other choice, he forcibly stopped using his artifact and reverted from smoke back to his human form. He retaliated by unleashing a barrage of Dark Magic in an attempt to neutralize the Golden Giant Hand.
At the same time, he shouted at the gathered Evil Mages, "What are you all standing around for?! If you keep dawdling, you'll all end up dead! Get moving!"
The Evil Mages, who had followed Clift to attack Truth School's northern front, finally snapped out of their daze brought on by the shock from the Great Library. To save their own lives, they hastily unleashed their most powerful Dark Magic against Xu Lie.
Xu Lie remained as immovable as a mountain, not making any move at all. Yet, like that towering peak, he instilled despair in all the Evil Mages.
The Great Library echoed once more with the sound of pages turning as fifty spellbooks unleashed fifty Golden Giant Hands, shimmering with radiant light. In an instant, they illuminated the entire realm as if it were coated in gold.
Accompanying these fifty spellbooks were other Magic Books. The wrists of the fifty Golden Giant Hands were adorned with various spells. Wind, Thunder, Water, Fire—these elements obliterated all the Evil Mages' magic, allowing the Golden Giant Hands to seize every one of them without obstruction!
Even Clift, who fought desperately against his fate, was no exception. No matter how many spells he cast, the automatically opening spellbooks countered each one with equal force.
In the end, he too fell victim to the Golden Giant Hand. This hand not only shone with dazzling effects but also bore sealing properties; once grasped by it, one's magical power would come to a standstill and artifacts would become unusable.
"Ah!! My bones! It hurts! They're going to break!"
"Spare me! Spare me! I was wrong! I’m willing to submit to Truth School! Please don’t kill me!"
Every Evil Mage caught in the grip of the Golden Giant Hand cried out in anguish. Only those who had undergone magical transformations still had some hope of pleading for mercy. The others, who had not enhanced themselves with magic, were already in so much pain that they lost consciousness and awareness entirely.
Xu Lie would not spare these Evil Mages in exchange for mercy. With only a few thousand First-Year Students present, did Truth School really need more people?
Before the Evil Mages could continue their deafening howls, Xu Lie focused his thoughts, and the Golden Giant Hand tightened its grip!
Instantly, the entire Northern Battlefield shifted from chaos to silence, as if a nightclub filled with frenetic music had suddenly lost power.
Only the spectators' Danmaku remained active in this stillness.
"Whoa?! Xu Lie is exuding such dominance! Is he going to wipe them all out?!"
