Jiang Chen did not make a move from beginning to end. It was not until the sea carried Mu Zhou to the peak of Black Dragon Island, hovering in front of Tu Li, that Tu Li's Sha Qi still could not approach Jiang Chen.
"This... this is impossible?" Tu Li exclaimed, his face pale with shock.
"You don't need to live anymore," Jiang Chen said, looking at Tu Li with a faint smile. Then, with a simple gesture, he summoned the Linghuo Blade from the sky. Before Tu Li could react, he was split in half by the blade.
Spirit Fire conquers evil spirits. With Jiang Chen's current strength, Tu Li was nothing more than a blade of grass in his eyes; he could crush him with a single step.
Jiang Chen had no good feelings toward the Holy Witch Cult, and naturally saw no reason to spare Tu Li's life. Killing him would bring peace.
The Spirit Fire blazed fiercely. Tu Li was horrified; Sha Qi was a toxic substance that was difficult to ignite. But for some reason, at that moment, when the flames touched Sha Qi, it was as if they were pouring oil on fire. Tu Li screamed and ultimately jumped into the sea, hoping to extinguish the flames with water. But to his surprise, the fire showed no fear of the ocean and refused to be extinguished.
Within seconds, amidst his wails, Tu Li was reduced to ashes.
Those watching from afar could not see clearly, but Gu Yun Nan observed everything distinctly. Jiang Chen had effortlessly dealt with Tu Li with a single strike. Such power was terrifying; could it be that Tu Li had already exhausted himself and was an easy target?
Jiang Chen paid no mind to Gu Yun Nan's astonishment. For him, eliminating Tu Li was merely a trivial matter.
"Master Gu, let's head back," Jiang Chen said with a smile as he invited Gu Yun Nan onto Mu Zhou.
Gu Yun Nan looked at Jiang Chen, his mouth slightly agape in shock.
"How can you be this powerful? This defies logic," Gu Yun Nan questioned, unable to contain his curiosity.
"Master Gu, there are many illogical things in this world; there's no need to dwell on it. Come aboard," Jiang Chen said as he waved his hand, summoning a gust of wind that lifted Gu Yun Nan onto Mu Zhou.
As the sea receded from Black Dragon Island, everything returned to calm.
Jiang Chen and Gu Yun Nan stood on Mu Zhou, preparing to leave when a fishing boat rushed toward them and blocked their path.
"You dare kill our elder Tu Li? Do you know that Elder Tu is one of us from the Holy Witch Cult?" A middle-aged man stood at the bow of the fishing boat, speaking in a dark tone.
"I hadn't planned on killing him initially, but since he is from the Holy Witch Cult, there’s no need for him to live. You are also from the Holy Witch Cult, aren't you?" Jiang Chen replied with a faint smile.
Upon hearing Jiang Chen's words, the expressions of several members of the Holy Witch Cult on the fishing boat changed drastically.
"You dare offend us from the Holy Witch Cult? Do you know our leader has reached divine mastery? No one on this earth can match our leader now. If our leader finds out you dared to offend us, even if you had a hundred lives, it wouldn't be enough," the middle-aged man boasted arrogantly about their leader.
Jiang Chen merely smiled.
"What are you laughing at?" The members of the Holy Witch Cult were enraged by Jiang Chen's continued disdainful expression.
If Jiang Chen couldn't be bothered to waste words on even Elder Tu Li of the Holy Witch Cult, he certainly had no interest in these minor characters; they were as good as dead whenever he wished.
With a casual wave of his hand, he summoned towering waves that rose dozens of meters high and capsized the fishing boat. The members of the Holy Witch Cult were decent swimmers; as their boat sank, they struggled in the water.
Jiang Chen paddled leisurely past them.
"Since you've already fallen out with the Holy Witch Cult, I think it's best for you to eliminate the threat completely," Gu Yun Nan couldn't help but remind Jiang Chen as he walked away.
