Even the viewers who were engrossed in the show "Dimension Outside" were stunned by the appearance of a UFO.
"What the heck? A UFO? In a serious cop drama? God, did the production team take drugs?"
"What is this nonsense? How can a nuclear bomb bring out an underground UFO?"
"This is outrageous! Aliens? Where did they come from? Is that even the sun?"
"Quick, record it!" Charles commanded his subordinates.
On Anthony's side, there was no need for such trouble; most of the team members had already activated their recording devices during the standoff with the Serpent Man at the port.
As soon as the equipment was turned on, the UFO floated silently into the air, completely defying gravity. It ascended steadily, neither fast nor slow, drifting gracefully upward.
"It's flying? The UFO is flying?! Aliens, aliens are up there!"
God, is this your punishment for humanity? Are the aliens here to attack us? It seems they have been hiding underground at the port for quite some time.
Nuclear bomb, right! Do you think someone has known about the UFO for a long time and specifically brought a nuclear bomb to detonate it just to expose this UFO?
Aren't we running away? The UFO must have detected us; I don't want to be abducted by aliens for experiments!
All those watching "Alien UFO" were buzzing with speculation and discussion, unable to stop. Some were envious, others terrified—emotions varied widely.
The UFO ascended mysteriously and even greeted them with a cold, emotionless mechanical synthesized voice: "Humans, you are indeed of great research value."
It sounded almost like self-talk or some kind of lamentation.
The UFO ignored Underworld; whether it flew away too quickly or simply cloaked itself was unclear. In an instant, it vanished without a trace.
This triggered waves of astonishment from Black Side.
"Great! It didn't abduct me; the aliens didn't take me for experiments!"
"Count off! The search team will report in!"
"We got it on film; there really are aliens! There are truly aliens in this world!"
Anthony paid no attention to the chaos around him. Even when faced with a Nuclear Explosion, he had never broken a sweat, but now, a thin layer of perspiration soaked through his uniform.
It was impossible to hide the truth; too many people had witnessed the UFO. Even if he returned and ordered all team members to keep it confidential, it would be futile. The recording would be uploaded to the server, and there was no way to cover it up. Deleting the records on a large scale would only raise more suspicion about his integrity.
On top of that, with the Serpent Man incident happening elsewhere, there was no point in discussing discipline. By tomorrow morning, the video of the UFO would be all over major platforms.
Anthony knew he was in deep trouble. Once word got out about the UFO, and that comment became widely known, order would quickly break down. Doomsday rhetoric and negative public opinion would run rampant, leading to large-scale chaos and destruction.
This was going to have terrible consequences!
He couldn’t let this continue. He needed to have a serious talk with Charles and urge him to rein in his subordinates from spreading news about the UFO!
Perhaps it was just this night—too many intense experiences had shaken him. Another Nuclear Explosion, another Alien UFO. In the past, he had always remained calm in any situation, but now it seemed he had lost his caution.
It felt suspicious as he loudly recited these thoughts for all the Investigation Bureau members around him to hear. Oh, so they were supposed to keep the UFO incident a secret.
