While still chuckling at Anthony, Joseph thought it unnecessary for him to make such jokes just to claim a bit more credit. After all, Joseph was not a petty person. If it was Anthony's achievement, then it was Anthony's; he wouldn't take it all for himself.
Anthony was completely unaware of Joseph's concerns and had provided detailed intelligence about the General Engineering Building on the Eighteenth Floor to Joseph. After reporting everything, the sound of a highball glass shattering on the floor and chairs scraping against the ground could be clearly heard by everyone present. It seemed that on the other end of the communicator, Joseph had panicked and hurriedly stood up.
Sure enough, the next moment, Joseph's voice came through again, filled with tension and fear: "You, you! Are you saying that the Alien Life has a Tactical Nuclear Weapon?!"
Anthony, who had been focused, finally revealed a hint of disdain: "Yes, according to our Stealth Team's reconnaissance, that Tactical Nuclear Weapon should be with the Alien UFO."
Joseph's voice suddenly turned furious: "How can this be allowed?! An Alien Life! What do they need a Tactical Nuclear Weapon for?!"
Anthony found Joseph's question amusing. He shifted his gaze away for a moment, glancing at the barrel of his gun before suppressing his laughter and returning his attention to the communicator: "Of course, to blow you up! Do you think they would spare us innocent civilians in a Nuclear Explosion?"
If they let this go, Joseph would likely be furious and resort to various means to make Anthony pay—what did it mean to be a big shot or a small one? But now, it seemed there would be no opportunity for that.
On the other end of the communicator, there was no sound of Joseph's angry shouts or reprimands; only an explosion that exceeded the electromagnetic wave threshold could be heard. Then came the incessant crackling noise of high-frequency static.
Members of the Hawk Faction had gathered in a remote yet lavishly designed estate to celebrate with fine wine and victory after escaping from the frontline command center—Joseph included. Now, under the bombardment of a Tactical Nuclear Weapon, they were completely reduced to ashes without leaving a trace.
A mushroom cloud that once blossomed over Metropolis Port rose once again above this estate. What rises must eventually fall. The Hawk Faction had relied on their aggressive attitude and tactics, employing various forms of violence to seize significant benefits for themselves. Yet on this day, they encountered humanity’s greatest violent force—the nuclear bomb.
The moment of their demise had arrived. High above, Xu Lie piloted the UFO with a casual grace. The Tactical Nuclear Weapon was merely a tool; its power was not so immense that it could effortlessly obliterate a vast estate. Not to mention, it wouldn't even affect the UFO he was flying.
He had stated before that the Hawk Faction's assassination attempts would surely be met with revenge. Allowing them to operate for so long was merely to provide the audience with some drama; he hadn't had the time for retribution until now.
As the story approached its climax, Xu Lie naturally would not hold back any longer. With Anthony providing intelligence, he activated the Optical Camouflage to stealthily track Joseph. Following the trail back to the Hawk Faction's headquarters, he unleashed one final Tactical Nuclear Weapon, ensuring his revenge was thorough and decisive.
To add value to the Nuclear Explosion, Xu Lie even took the liberty of coordinating with the actors, summoning Anthony and William for their respective shots. This way, the audience could witness a Nuclear Explosion in broad daylight. As he piloted the UFO, Xu Lie's thoughts wandered, contemplating various possibilities. Would it be fitting to start with a Nuclear Explosion and then conclude with another at the end? It would create a sense of symmetry, wouldn't it?
