The intelligent scan from the UFO quickly yielded results. There were no nearby targets, so it flew further out to continue scanning. After two hours of back and forth, it locked onto two similar locations. Xu Lie was fortunate; he found the right spot on his first attempt.
It was at the place known as Three Mountains and Two Lakes, where he spotted the Starry Ancient Tree atop a peak. This tree was indeed extraordinary, standing over thirty meters tall and towering majestically, nearly covering half the mountain's summit. About one in every ten leaves emitted a star-like glow. Although it was only a tenth of the total, the sheer number of leaves made the tree shine like stars even in broad daylight.
At the same time, a figure in a white robe stood before the tree—the Purple-Haired Elder. Indeed, the color of his hair might seem unusual for an elderly man, but in the magical world, such vibrant hair colors were not uncommon among mages due to their connection with magical energy and atmospheric elements. It was common knowledge that mages often sported various strange hair colors influenced by these factors.
This phenomenon wasn't limited to the Ben Huo world; even in the Shendai world that Xu Lie had traveled to, there were unique hair colors—Tuha had green hair, while the Alchemist God had red hair. If all the deities from the divine realm gathered for a meeting, one might say it resembled a gathering of non-mainstream groups from Xu Lie's past life in the 1990s—though, admittedly, the former would far surpass the latter in appearance and presence.
The Purple-Haired Elder looked on with curiosity, his eyes filled with kindness as he performed a special gesture towards the hidden UFO. He placed his left hand on his shoulder and then let it drop again, likely a unique form of greeting among mages in the Ben Huo world. In contrast to modern gatherings like those in Black and White, where no radar could detect an invisible UFO, mages from the magical world easily spotted it.
This didn't imply that the Ben Huo world was superior to Black and White; magic and technology might reach similar ends, but their journeys were vastly different. Xu Lie had no intention of hiding; he was there to unite rather than sneak around. He confidently deactivated the Optical Camouflage, revealing himself to receive an impressed exclamation from the Purple-Haired Elder: "Which mage is this? This flying Alchemy house is truly remarkable! Though its design is a bit odd and overly rounded, it might very well be unparalleled in this era."
Xu Lie did not land the UFO but flew out with Anthony and Charles. The Flying Magic they used was a small spell gifted by their company. Retrieving the UFO into his Azure Blue Ring, Xu Lie gradually approached the Purple-Haired Elder.
The Purple-Haired Elder greeted him with a smile, but upon seeing Xu Lie's face, he immediately became cautious.
Xu Lie didn't take it to heart; he understood the reason. "Don't worry, I'm not an Evil Mage."
As mentioned earlier, in the magical world, most people could tell a mage's affinity for elements just by looking at them. In the world of Ben Huo, black hair typically indicated an affinity for dark elements. Unfortunately, mages with such affinities often strayed onto the path of evil, committing murder, soul harvesting, and blood sacrifices—making them universally reviled.
In the storyline of Ben Huo, the protagonist Beck constantly fought against Evil Mages. However, not all black-haired mages were inherently bad. The Purple-Haired Elder had a black-haired friend who was certainly not one of those evil types.
Hearing Xu Lie's words, the Purple-Haired Elder relaxed his guard, his hostility fading away. After all, it was unlikely that any Evil Mage would be bold enough to cause trouble at the venue of the Mage Exchange Conference.
But in the next moment, Xu Lie revealed a wicked smile. "Ah, sorry, I was just kidding."
