The location of the All-Continent Mage Exchange Conference, which had been held for seventy consecutive years, has been completely transformed into the Truth School. Named after Xu Lie's speech, the school aims to educate mages who can once again enter the Gate of Truth.
Under the construction of Shi Golem, the school has become increasingly refined over the course of a month. The teaching and dormitory buildings are impressive enough on their own. Surrounding them are numerous mage laboratories dedicated to researching various Magic Books that come from the Gate of Truth.
Beyond that, there are practice rooms where teachers guide students in various disciplines such as Alchemy, Potionology, magical circles, and Magical Technology. The enthusiasm of these teachers is at its peak, as they have already received a portion of Magic Books from Xu Lie. These books provide a systematic explanation of fields like Alchemy and Magic Potions, offering a complete entry-level curriculum. The teachers are astounded and even more eager for access to the Gate of Truth, as these books originate from it.
In reality, these books are part of the eighth-grade curriculum from the Shendai world’s elementary school. Indeed, in that magical world, students must study for eight years just in elementary school. It’s not hard to understand that students in the magical realm not only need to learn various subjects but also require time for meditation. They study in the morning and meditate in the afternoon; extending school years is only natural.
In addition to these changes, two mountains and two lakes serve as the school's breeding grounds, regularly producing materials from magical beasts and beast meat. Further out lies a field designated for planting magical plants, marked by several wooden signs warning fire mages to stay out. This warning infuriated Inquilinar: "Two hundred points?! Why don’t you just go steal them?!"
His booming voice created sound waves that even knocked down some grass-like plants in the area. Two green-haired Female Mages stood nearby, unafraid and unfazed by Inquilinar's loudness. The elder sister, Daphne, firmly insisted, "It’s two hundred points; there’s nothing to discuss." Her younger sister supported her: "Those magical plants are the fruits of our labor!"
"Fruits of your labor?" Inquilinar scoffed. "If I hadn’t seen Mr. Xu Lie personally gift you those magical plants, I might almost believe they were your hard work."
Daphne was visibly upset: "For over a month now, my sister and I have cared for those magical plants day and night; isn’t that hard work?"
As the three faced off, an apprentice named Beck stood nearby alongside two other mages—specifically, two Potion Masters.
One of them couldn't help but correct, "No, to be precise, you sisters have used up your magical power."
The situation prompted a hurried tug from another, signaling that they were already in a heated argument and he shouldn't add fuel to the fire. Unfortunately, it was of no use; his words caught the attention of the Daphne Sisters and Inquilinar.
This made La Shi, the Potion Master, feel particularly awkward. "Ahem, have you all finished your quarrel?" he asked. "We still need to complete Mr. Xu Lie's research task regarding the production of the Growth Potion from magical plants."
As a teacher, he had a fixed amount of points each month. In addition to that, Xu Lie also assigned a series of research tasks with specific projects to study. As long as they produced results, they could earn points.
Currently, all the teachers in the school were holding their breath and working hard on their tasks, striving to earn more points to exchange for the magical knowledge or items they desired.
It was better not to mention this topic; however, once research tasks were brought up, Daphne's eyes turned red. "Exactly! We were almost done with our research task! It's all your apprentice's fault for playing with fire and burning everything down! Is asking for two hundred points too much?"
With those words, Inquilinar had no way to refute her and could only glare fiercely at Beck.
Beck chuckled awkwardly, not daring to speak up. He indeed had caused trouble; an apology wouldn't help as he had been directly summoned by the teacher.
Glaring was one thing, but currently Inquilinar couldn't produce two hundred points. In Truth School, aside from Principal Xu Lie, who wasn't short on points?
"Is it really unreasonable to ask for two hundred points as compensation for such a small amount of magical plants?" Inquilinar argued back.
Daphne's face was nearly black with anger. "Your apprentice burned down an entire acre!"
Inquilinar was taken aback; this was something he hadn't considered. He originally thought that Beck had only burned a few magical plants while practicing Seventh Level Fire Magic.
