This is the only feasible revenge plan at the moment; otherwise, Monroe would never be able to avenge herself, nor rescue her parents.
Over the years, Monroe has been honing her skills outside, preparing to strengthen her resolve. Now that she has returned from her training, it is time to consider having children, as the Blood Clan mandates that any male member between the ages of twenty and fifty can compete for the title of Blood Child.
The most crucial aspect of selecting a Blood Child is the bloodline. Therefore, Monroe needs to choose a man with a strong and rare bloodline to bear her child. However, the noble young men from Great Britain who attended tonight's event, despite their impressive bloodlines, failed to meet Monroe's standards after a round of "physical assessments." It was Jiang Chen, a Huaxia person, who caught Monroe's attention.
Yet further confirmation was needed.
An hour later, the ball came to an end. Monroe, the star of the evening, had not danced at all, which infuriated many noble young men who sought to be her partner but were turned away. Jiang Chen's refusal to dance with Monroe was particularly irksome.
Once most guests had dispersed, Count Smithan approached Monroe and Jiang Chen.
"Let’s go to my study; we need to have a good talk," Count Smithan said.
"Alright," Jiang Chen nodded, instructing Jiang Lu and the others to wait in the living room before following Count Smithan and Monroe to the study.
Seeing Jiang Chen enter the study made Ni Xingyi somewhat anxious. However, noticing Qin Xuasha and Jiang Lu's calm demeanor made her realize that her concerns were unnecessary.
In the study, Count Smithan invited Jiang Chen to sit down. Having lived for several centuries, he was fluent in multiple languages and spoke Huaxia Language quite well. He was also knowledgeable about Huaxia culture.
"May I ask how you would like me to address you?" Count Smithan inquired politely as he sat across from Jiang Chen.
"Jiang Chen," he replied.
"Mr. Jiang, your presence here tonight seems rather intentional; I wonder what business you have with me? There are no outsiders here, so you can speak freely," Count Smithan smiled.
"I came to learn more about the Blood Clan," Jiang Chen said with a faint smile.
Although he was prepared for this conversation, Count Smithan and Monroe's expressions shifted slightly upon hearing his words.
"How do you know we are members of the Blood Clan? Have you investigated us?" Count Smithan's tone grew serious.
Those who had known him for decades were unaware of his identity; yet here was Jiang Chen, a Huaxia person, who somehow knew he belonged to the Blood Clan. This compelled Count Smithan to approach the situation with caution.
"I merely heard by chance that there was an earl hosting a ball in this ancient castle. It reminded me of legends about vampires and castles, so I became curious and decided to take a look. To my surprise, the hosts here are indeed vampires," Jiang Chen replied lightly with a relaxed demeanor.
"Are you suggesting that this is our first meeting?" Count Smithan frowned.
"Of course."
"It's impossible. How could you tell I'm one of the Blood Clan on our first meeting?"
"Miss Monroe Lily, it's easy to see my uniqueness, so isn't it normal for me to recognize yours?" Jiang Chen's rebuttal left Count Smithan speechless.
"Heh, even if you know we are from the Blood Clan, what does it matter? Our Blood Clan has never been involved with your Huaxia Martial Arts. You must have another reason for seeking me, right?" Count Smithan had lived for centuries and was naturally astute.
"I'm not here without purpose. I heard that your Blood Clan possesses a treasure from our Huaxia, the Divine Bone Order. I wonder if it's true?" Jiang Chen got straight to the point without beating around the bush.
