"Go ahead," he said.
"We can make a deal. It's impossible for you to obtain the Divine Bone Order in your current state, and you might even lose your life trying. "About fifty years," Monroe replied.
Jiang Chen's calm expression momentarily shifted to one of surprise; Monroe was joking in a serious tone.
"Fifty years? Ha, five days would be more like it," Jiang Chen said, somewhat speechless.
"Just hear me out. You don't understand the Blood Clan; you have no idea how powerful they are now. You have the Huaxia Martial Arts and Hidden Sects, but in my view, those Hidden Sects combined cannot compete with us Blood Clan members. I don't know your background, but I suspect you have some force behind you from Huaxia Martial Arts. Even so, it won't be enough to confront us. If you want the Divine Bone Order, collaborating with me is the safest method," Monroe stated earnestly.
"Alright, tell me how we can collaborate," Jiang Chen said, looking at Monroe with a calm demeanor and a curious smile, wondering what kind of collaboration would take fifty years to bear fruit.
"Of course, whether we can collaborate depends on you, Mr. Jiang. Please extend your hand," Monroe said.
This time, Jiang Chen did not refuse; he was curious about what this Blood Clan beauty wanted to do.
Monroe reached out and grasped Jiang Chen's hand. She attempted to use her nails to cut his palm for a drop of blood, but unexpectedly, his hand felt soft yet as strong as metal. When her fingers grazed over it, it was like scraping against steel, producing a sharp friction sound that damaged her nails without leaving even a scratch on Jiang Chen's hand.
The atmosphere suddenly became awkward as Monroe looked up at Jiang Chen; they were only half a meter apart and locked eyes. A hint of an awkward smile appeared on her lips.
"Uh, sorry about that; my nails are too long," Monroe apologized, trying to pass off her earlier action as an accident.
Jiang Chen knew that Monroe wanted to test his bloodline; if he were to hide it, even if she obtained his blood, she wouldn't be able to discern anything from it. Since she was so eager to probe into his bloodline, he decided to reveal just a glimpse of it.
Jiang Chen relaxed some of the restrictions on his bloodline, and Monroe immediately sensed a wondrous aura emanating from him. The Immortal Sovereign Bloodline was certainly unmatched by any bloodline on Earth; even just a hint of it was enough to leave Monroe in awe.
Her expression changed as she was startled by this sudden revelation; she wasn't foolish and could clearly see that Jiang Chen had intentionally shown this to her.
"What a powerful bloodline! It's far stronger than I imagined," Monroe thought in astonishment before reluctantly withdrawing her hand.
"Mr. Jiang, we can collaborate now," Monroe said after calming her excited emotions; Jiang Chen's bloodline invigorated her spirit.
Jiang Chen smiled silently in response.
Next, Monroe explained how they could work together. She believed that being as beautiful as she was and taking the initiative to propose having children with Jiang Chen would surely lead him to agree; after all, there’s an old saying in Huaxia: even heroes find it hard to resist the charms of beautiful women.
