They arrived early today, with plenty of time left before Tian Xiaomei and the others finished work. Yu Songyu stuffed some nougat into Li Xiuzhen's arms and planned to check out the shop in front while carrying the pork.
"This candy! Here, have some, put it in your bag!" Yu Songyu smiled, finding the girl’s simplicity quite endearing.
"All this candy is for me?" Li Xiuzhen couldn't believe it. She had never eaten such delicious candy before, and now it was all hers?
"Of course! If I don't eat it, I can't give it to you, right? Let's go!" Yu Songyu laughed and urged her on.
To avoid any trouble, Yu Songyu didn't leave the courtyard; the two of them made their way to the back door of the shop one after the other.
"Hong Xia Sister? Is that you?" Yu Songyu called out, noticing that Li Xiuzhen was now holding the meat. She felt that with Yu Songyu's slender arms and legs, even carrying a little would be too much for her.
"Hong Xia?" When there was no response, Yu Songyu knocked again.
"Hey, it's you!" Hong Xia opened the door and immediately spotted the meat in Li Xiuzhen's hands.
"Oh wow, the meat has arrived!" Hong Xia quickly reached out to take it. That big piece of meat would be enough for her family to celebrate the New Year.
"I have more stuff; do you want to take a look?"
"No need, sister. Our conditions are limited; this is enough!" After saying that, Hong Xia exchanged glances with her man, who promptly took out some money and handed it to Yu Songyu.
"So, when are you planning to leave?" Hong Xia assumed that Yu Songyu wanted them to move out quickly since this house already belonged to someone else.
"I'm sorry, Sister, we'll definitely clean up as soon as possible. Tomorrow, we'll leave tomorrow!"
"You misunderstood, I'm not in a hurry to move in. How about this? You take your time to pack up over the next few days. If you decide to leave, just leave the keys on the windowsill of the small courtyard and weigh them down with a stone."
