Yu Suihuan could no longer hold back and rolled her eyes, loudly interrupting them.
"I say, you two Grandmas! If you don't want to go, then just don't! No need to cry like this. If someone didn’t know better, they’d think we were facing a life-and-death separation!"
As soon as Yu Suihuan finished speaking, she felt a hard slap on her back from the two Grandmas, causing her to cough a few times, as if her lungs were about to fly out.
"What kind of child are you? You have no filter at all and say whatever comes to your mind! Spit it out!"
One Grandma glared at Yu Suihuan in anger.
"Oh, spit it out!"
Though reluctant, Yu Suihuan complied obediently.
"Knock on wood, right here!"
The other Grandma pointed at the wood on the Ox Cart, insisting that Yu Suihuan knock on it. It was said that doing so would ensure their words would come true.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Yu Suihuan struck the wood forcefully, looking utterly helpless.
"Then let’s say this: let Yuan Er play for two more years before going to school."
Well then, the two Grandmas had made the decision; she and Wang Zhaoran's opinions didn’t seem to matter anymore.
"Oh, oh, oh! Yuan Er doesn’t have to go to school now!"
Little One planted a kiss on each of the Little Old Ladies' cheeks, making them laugh heartily while Yu Suihuan felt embarrassed and wanted to look away.
How old is this little guy? Where did he learn such charming tricks?
Since they were already out, why not take Yuan Er to the town for a few days?
With the Grandma having spoken, what else could anyone say?
Yu Suihuan turned her face away to look at the scenery along the road; she shouldn’t have accompanied these people in their nonsense.
"Mom!"
A sweet voice called out, causing Yu Suihuan's body to stiffen.
Turning towards the sound, she saw Xiao Wa had somehow settled beside her with open arms.
"Mom, hug me!"
Little Wa knew how to use his charm to win over the adults. Yu Suihuan, feeling a bit awkward, held Little Wa in her arms, and before long, the child had fallen asleep in her embrace.
Looking down at Little Wa's peaceful face, with his gently curved brows and fluttering eyelashes, she couldn't help but plant a kiss on his forehead. The sensation was wonderful.
"If you like children so much, why not just have one yourself? I'll help you!"
The Little Old Lady loved children, but if the child were Yu Suihuan's, she would love him even more.
"You're just encouraging me to make mistakes! I don't even have a man yet, and you want me to have a baby?"
"You silly girl, I'm telling you to hurry up and find a man to have a baby with! Give me a big fat grandson!" The Little Old Lady shot her a glance.
"Don't you already have a grandson? Aren't you satisfied?"
"That's different!"
Worried that Little Wa might be too heavy for Yu Suihuan's legs, the Little Old Lady reached out to take the child.
"I'll hold him; it's fine!"
Yu Suihuan was also concerned about tiring out the Little Old Lady. Besides, it was her first time holding a sleeping child.
"Never mind, I don’t feel at ease with you holding him!"
Without further ado, the Little Old Lady took Wang Yan into her arms.
Upon arriving in town, Wang Zhaoran was already waiting at the old house of the grandmother.
Having been away for several months, the small courtyard was still clean and tidy, looking as if someone had been taking care of it all along.
"This child is so thoughtful; look how well this house is maintained!" The grandmother felt gratified. The countryside was nice, but this place was her true home.
Once everyone was settled in, Wang Heng found an opportunity to be alone with Wang Zhaoran.
"Godfather, do you like my Godmother?"
Hey, you little brat, what nonsense are you spouting? You think you can just say anything?
