Yu Suihuan pouted, feeling foolish for having trusted him so much, yet this guy didn’t believe in himself. Of course he believed! How could he not believe? If he didn’t believe, who else would?
Wang Zhaoran, genuinely afraid that Yu Suihuan would take the test paper away, quickly raised his hand high, making sure it was out of Yu Suihuan's reach. In front of Yu Suihuan, Wang Zhaoran appeared like an innocent big boy, completely shedding his usual decisive demeanor. Ever since experiencing betrayal from a brother, his way of doing things had changed. He no longer felt the need to shield others with an umbrella after getting drenched himself. He realized that some people simply didn’t deserve his kindness.
In town, there were a few local ruffians who spent their days teasing cats and dogs while bullying decent women. With connections at home, hardly anyone dared to provoke them. Wang Zhaoran had dealt with these thugs before when he went to the Soda Factory to discuss cooperation; they were harassing a young girl right at the factory gate. Even though the factory manager was aware of the situation, he couldn’t intervene because any disruption from these troublemakers could affect their production.
"What are you doing?" Wang Zhaoran couldn’t stand by any longer and stepped forward to intervene.
“Who the hell is this kid? Daring to bark in front of me?” The lead thug had a lewd grin on his face as he signaled to several men beside him. They immediately surrounded Wang Zhaoran, and the girl who had been harassed seized the opportunity to escape.
In broad daylight, right at someone’s workplace, they were manhandling a girl—wasn’t that crossing the line? Wang Zhaoran didn’t want to escalate the situation; he just couldn’t ignore it in good conscience.
“Hahaha, is this kid tired of living? He wants to teach us a lesson?” one thug laughed mockingly. “It’s been a while since I’ve seen someone so bold; why don’t we have some fun with him?”
The ruffians laughed at Wang Zhaoran’s naivety and began to approach him in a manner similar to how they had treated the girl. They thought that because Wang Zhaoran was fair-skinned and slender, he would be easy prey for their mockery and humiliation.
Just as one thug reached out to touch Wang Zhaoran's chin, suddenly his wrist was seized with tremendous force and twisted backward, almost breaking it.
The man let out a piercing scream, and several others didn’t even see how Wang Zhaoran made his move.
Damn it, how dare you touch my brother!
The leading heavyset man spat on the ground, rolled up his sleeves, and was about to charge at Wang Zhaoran to teach him a lesson.
To his surprise, before he could get close, Wang Zhaoran kicked him squarely in his large belly.
He stumbled back several steps, and the others rushed forward to help him regain his balance.
Damn, I’ve run into a tough one!
The oldest man among them crushed his cigarette butt and swaggered in front of Wang Zhaoran.
Not bad, little brother. What’s your background?
No background, just an ordinary person!
Wang Zhaoran replied without changing his expression, a faint smile even gracing his face.
The man began to scrutinize Wang Zhaoran from head to toe.
This young man didn’t seem special; from his attire, he didn’t look like someone from a wealthy family.
Yet there was an air of confidence about him that suggested he was not someone to be trifled with.
Despite their numbers, if they clashed with him head-on today, they probably wouldn’t gain anything at all.
After letting Wang Zhaoran go, the man sent a few of his lackeys to follow him from behind.
Little did they know they were spotted by Wang Zhaoran and ended up getting beaten up badly.
In this day and age, it’s all about power; whoever has the strongest fist is the boss.
After several rounds, not only did the other side gain nothing, but they were also left battered and bruised by Wang Zhaoran.
In the final encounter, they found themselves cornered in a dead-end alley.
To think that when I was a kid and got scolded by my parents, it wasn’t this harsh!
What’s worse is that this kid not only hits people but also humiliates them! He swung a big stick and aimed right for their behinds.
Trapped in the alley and crying out in pain, they had no choice but to submit and acknowledge Wang Zhaoran as their boss.
From that moment on, these men became Wang Zhaoran's dedicated enforcers.
