Yu Suihuan stumbled her way out of the Yang Family and headed towards the school. It turned out that Xue Lan hadn’t lied to her; Yang Qinghe was indeed engaged and was getting married soon. There was no need for her to show up in front of him anymore, and perhaps that was the best choice.
Originally, Yu Suihuan planned to leave with Wang Zhaoran after school, but when she stepped out, she found that Wang Zhaoran was nowhere to be seen. She had no choice but to head back to the dormitory and wait for Wang Zhaoran to arrive.
As soon as she entered the dormitory, she noticed a group of girls huddled together, looking frantic and discussing something.
“Oh my gosh, Yu Suihuan! Where have you been? You finally made it!”
Seeing Yu Suihuan arrive seemed to give everyone a sense of relief, and they all gathered around her.
“What’s going on? What happened?”
“You won’t believe it! This morning, Wang Min’s mother-in-law and her husband came from the countryside to find her!”
“So what? Isn’t that normal?”
Yu Suihuan looked confused; she didn’t see what the problem was, especially since she wasn’t in the mood to deal with anyone else’s issues at the moment.
“Oh, you don’t understand! Not only did they come themselves, but they also brought Wang Min’s two kids along!”
The two children were crying non-stop, probably scared because they had never seen so many people before.
It caused quite a scene on campus; many students witnessed it all.
Then Wang Min’s mother-in-law insisted that the kids were hungry and demanded that Wang Min breastfeed them right there in front of everyone!
But it was in broad daylight with so many students around watching!
Exactly! Wang Min’s face turned beet red; she looked like she wanted to find a hole to hide in!
And that old woman was terrible! Seeing so many people gathered around, she started making a fuss, accusing Wang Min of abandoning her husband and children and not behaving like a proper wife!
Yes! She even incited others to criticize Wang Min, claiming they should go to the School Leadership to demand an explanation!
Isn’t this just pushing someone to their limits?
As things escalated, the school authorities got involved. Now Wang Min and her family were in the School Leadership's office!
This situation had become too serious; there was even a possibility that Wang Min might get expelled.
"That old woman," she said, "claims the school has destroyed their family relationships and kidnapped their daughter-in-law, preventing her from coming home. The faces of the school leadership turned dark with anger!"
"Exactly! They even said if the school doesn't intervene, they'll escalate the matter to higher authorities. They shamelessly demanded that the school arrange accommodation and meals for them!"
The girls chattered away, and Yu Suihuan felt a headache coming on from all the noise. However, she understood the gist of it. Wang Min's mother-in-law was a typical bully, completely unyielding.
Wang Min must be feeling quite helpless right now. Although Yu Suihuan didn't want to get involved any further, she couldn't help but feel curious.
"I've got to see this!" Yu Suihuan declared as she headed outside.
"Hey, Yu Suihuan, let us go with you!"
"No need! I'll handle it myself!"
Yu Suihuan didn't want them following her; their incessant chatter would only create more chaos without any real contribution.
At the entrance of the school leadership's office, Yu Suihuan stood for a moment to listen.
"I don't care! You all kidnapped my daughter-in-law! You’ve kept my family from reuniting, so you have to take responsibility! If you don’t give me an explanation, I’m not leaving!" Wang Min's mother-in-law slammed her thigh and plopped down on the ground.
"Oh dear, Auntie, let’s talk this over calmly. Please get up!"
"I won’t get up! And don’t try to sweet-talk me, Auntie! It won’t work. Unless you give me an explanation, I’m staying right here. In fact, I might as well just end it all here!"
The school leadership was at a loss for words; this woman was clearly a tough nut to crack with her fierce demeanor.
