"Is that you, Huan Huan? It's me, Wang Zhao Ran," the little grass said, its voice filled with excitement and anticipation.
"Ah? Really? But..." Yu Suihuan looked at the talking grass, her confusion deepening.
"Wang Zhao Ran is dead, right? How could you become a little grass?"
"I'm not entirely sure myself. I've been waiting in the darkness for a long time, and now I can finally come out for some fresh air. It just so happens that you all arrived, and I'm so happy!" The grass's voice was filled with joy.
"So, you really are the Godfather? What do you need us to do now? Can you return to your original form?" Wang Heng finally spoke up. Although it was unbelievable, the bizarre environment they were in made anything seem possible.
"Of course, without a doubt. What do I need? Um, just take me away from here. I want to chat with you all; I haven't spoken to anyone in ages! As for whether I can turn back into a person, I'm not sure!"
Yu Suihuan and Wang Heng both felt a mix of emotions. First, they were happy about Wang Zhao Ran's rebirth; second, they never expected him to be reborn as a piece of grass.
"How about we get a flowerpot?" Yu Suihuan suggested tentatively, imagining Wang Zhao Ran being planted in a pot, struggling to suppress a smile.
"Yeah, I don't want to stay here alone!"
"Then I'll take you! Heng Er, go get a flowerpot!"
"Got it, Godmother." Wang Heng swallowed hard but couldn't bring himself to call her 'Dad.'
While they waited, Wang Zhao Ran recounted his recent experiences to Yu Suihuan.
"I don't know when it started, but my consciousness gradually began to gather. At first, I was very scared; the oppressive darkness made it hard for me to breathe. You know, I thought I wasn't dead and was still alive—it felt like being buried alive, which is truly terrifying! Even though I was in darkness every day, I could feel a magical force continuously pouring into me."
This feeling is extraordinary. As the power continues to gather, the darkness gradually recedes, and I can faintly see the scene outside the Earth Mound.
I see an Earth Mound bathed in sunlight filtering through the leaves, casting beautiful patterns on the ground. In the distance, I can make out the mountains and hear the gentle babbling of a stream. Whenever a soft breeze blows by, the flowers and grass near my grave sway, producing a rustling sound.
Unfortunately, I can only see these things but cannot feel them. I begin to long to stand in the sunlight, to feel its warm rays shining down on me. So, I resolve to break free.
Turning back, I see my own body in a state of decay, almost falling apart. I realize that if I want to leave this place, I cannot rely on this frail form any longer.
One day, I spot a seed on the Earth Mound. You have no idea how envious I am of it; I envy its freedom because it will eventually break through the soil. I stare at it day and night, thinking how wonderful it would be if I could be like it!
Suddenly one day, I feel the power within me surge into that seed! Soon after, I break through the earth. Standing in the sunlight, feeling its warmth on my body, this long-lost sensation brings tears to my eyes.
Yu Suihuan is deeply moved by this but can't help but chuckle when she sees the little grass lifting its leaves as if trying to wipe away tears. In her heart, she recalls all her past sorrows and manages not to laugh out loud.
She silently prays for Wang Heng to return soon because with this little grass's voice resembling that of a Minion and its charming gestures, she finds it incredibly hard to hold back her laughter!
