The three of us sat at the table and began discussing our next course of action.

Suddenly, I remembered a question, "How did Ma Zhaofang get back to school?"
Fang Bo replied, "Ma Zhaofang returned to school through the School Gate."
I asked again, "Does the school have a back entrance?"
“Did you see him?” Fang Bo asked.
I inquired further, “Is there surveillance at the School Gate?”
“Yes,” Fang Bo replied.
“Can we check the surveillance footage from the School Gate?” I asked.
“Sure,” he answered.
We hurried to the monitoring room and began reviewing the footage from the School Gate.
As we sat in the monitoring room, the screen showed that seven people had entered that day.
All seven were dragging suitcases.
One of them was Gao Jun, Sun Chen's roommate.
Fang Bo and I decided to start with Gao Jun.
We quickly found Gao Jun, who was playing a game in his dormitory.
I smiled and asked him, “When was the last time you saw Ma Zhaofang?”
Gao Jun thought for a moment and replied, “The last time I saw Ma Zhaofang was on June 15th. We had dinner together that night.”
I hurriedly asked, "Do you know where she went after finishing her meal?"
Gao Jun shook his head, "I don't know."
I continued, "Do you know if she has any friends?"
Gao Jun shook his head again, "I don't know."
I pressed on, "Do you know if she participates in any activities?"
Gao Jun shook his head once more, "No."
I asked, "Have you noticed any unusual behavior from her?"
Gao Jun looked down, "I haven't noticed anything."
Suddenly, I spotted Gao Jun's suitcase. "Is this suitcase yours?" I inquired.
Gao Jun nodded slightly, "Yes, it's mine..."
I followed up, "What’s inside the suitcase?"
Gao Jun nervously shook his head, "Nothing..."
In the interrogation room, Gao Jun confessed to his crimes.
He revealed that he had conspired with Xue Ling to sink Ma Zhaofang's body to the bottom of the lake.
He confessed that he had taken money from Xue Ling and stolen Sun Chen's medication to give to her.
While Ma Zhaofang was away at the hotpot restaurant, Xue Ling slipped Diazepam into her drink, rendering her unconscious.
Gao Jun transported the unconscious Ma Zhaofang into the school using a suitcase.
He and Xue Ling met by the lake, where they tied stones to Ma Zhaofang and sank her into the water.
Gao Jun also revealed a crucial detail.
It turned out that Sun Chen had witnessed their crime that night.
Xue Ling threatened Sun Chen, stating that if he did not remain silent, she would inform the police that it was Sun Chen who had forced Ma Zhaofang to take the Diazepam.
Thus, Sun Chen would become the murderer.
In despair, Sun Chen chose to take his own life.
Meanwhile, Ma Zhaofang would forever remember the student who stood by and did nothing during her moment of desperation.
Initially, Xue Ling denied everything in the interrogation room.
However, when I entered with the report, the evidence was irrefutable.
The fingerprints found on Ma Zhaofang's skull matched Xue Ling perfectly.
Additionally, Xue Ling's DNA was discovered beneath Ma Zhaofang's nails.
The DNA of Xue Ling was also found on the fragments discovered in the suitcase.
The entire case finally came to light.
Despite the concrete evidence against her, Xue Ling still refused to reveal the reason behind the murder of Ma Zhaofang.
That was until someone appeared.
He was Tong Hui.
Tong Hui did not defend Xue Ling; he simply informed her that everything had been arranged, including her accommodations in prison.
Xue Ling's gaze towards Tong Hui was filled with affection and reverence.
After Tong Hui left, Fang Bo instructed me to observe from the window.
I noticed that the vehicle Tong Hui got into downstairs was identical to the one in Sun Chen's photographs.
Upon further investigation, I discovered that Tong Hui was indeed the mysterious boyfriend who had purchased the bracelet alongside Ma Zhaofang.
Additionally, Xue Ling had lived at Tong Hui's house for a period of time, and there were rumors online suggesting that the two were engaged.
It seemed that there was an even more complex web of relationships behind this case!
