Legend has it that in ancient times, several deities joined forces to seal the Blood Demon in this place, while the Blood Ancestor resided in the underground caverns. His purpose was twofold: to enhance his power through the Blood Demon Aura and to research ways to break the seal and release the Blood Demon.
Now, with the fall of the gods and their unknown whereabouts, humanity has risen, growing stronger through technology. If the Blood Demon were to break free from its seal, it would herald a time of great power for the blood clan.
Unfortunately, after hundreds of years of research in the caverns, the Blood Ancestor has yet to find a way to crack the seal left by the gods. However, he did develop a formation called the Blood Demon Suppression Formation, which utilizes the power of the Blood Demon to achieve the goal of subduing divine beings through the remnants of the gods' seal.
Though he speaks boldly about its effectiveness, whether it can truly subdue a god remains uncertain. The Blood Ancestor is confident enough in his Blood Demon Suppression Formation to wager against Jiang Chen. He believes that Jiang Chen cannot possibly be more powerful than a god; if his formation can subdue divine beings, surely it can handle a mere human. After all, no matter how formidable human magic may be, they are still flesh and blood and cannot withstand the power of a Blood Demon.
Jiang Chen stands upon the surface of the sea; at this moment, everything is eerily calm. Suddenly, diving into the ocean, the Blood Ancestor causes bubbles to erupt from a ten-mile radius around the island as if boiling water. Waves of Blood Qi rise with these bubbles, spreading across the sea surface and darkening the sky.
Jiang Chen's expression shifts slightly as he senses this Blood Qi—it's at least ten times more potent than that of the Blood Ancestor. He glances at Ma'erka trapped within an ice dome and waves his hand; the dome melts away. With a swift motion, he lifts a column of water like a dragon, elevating their yacht and propelling it far away from the area enveloped by the formation.
Though Ma'erka and her companions are frightened, their astonishment outweighs their fear. "That god seems to be helping us," one remarks; it's clear that Jiang Chen does not intend to harm them.
"Is this what they call a battle between gods and demons?" another exclaims excitedly, momentarily forgetting their peril.
"What kind of monster is that demon? I can't see it anymore—look at the sky! Why is it so red?"
"It's terrifying."
"We should be safe here; we can still see sunlight."
The group chatter amongst themselves; while their immediate surroundings remain bright and normal, not far away lies a dark red sea that resembles hell itself, evoking an unsettling atmosphere.
"Quick! Record this! If we post it online, it'll go viral!" someone suggests.
Only then do they shakily pull out their phones to film. Ma'erka does not join them; she stares ahead in a daze, recalling that face as her heart races with uncontainable excitement.
A blood-red haze blankets ten miles of sky like a layer of Blood Cloud rolling ominously above. Jiang Chen's mind sweeps across this scene with mild surprise.
What unfolds before him resembles images from the Western Ancient Gods and Demons War.
"It seems this place has sealed away an ancient western demon—it must be the Blood Demon," Jiang Chen speculates.
The power of the Blood Demon was indeed formidable, but Jiang Chen could sense that his strength was being restrained. Although the formation drew upon some of the Blood Demon's power, it was not enough to instill fear.
In the sky, the Blood Cloud swirled, forming a vortex akin to a black hole. Suddenly, a massive demonic claw emerged from within. This claw resembled the hand of a deity or demon, swirling with demonic energy and crackling with purple lightning, as if it possessed the might to tear apart the heavens and earth.
