Before the words faded, the chip at the back of his neck suddenly erupted with blinding light, filling the entire Star Sand Vortex like a cosmic explosion.
Xiao Meng gasped in pain, her eyes wide with disbelief as she watched the cold mechanical tentacle pierce through her palm like a venomous snake.
Memories surged like a tidal wave, three hundred instances of recollection flashing through Xiao Meng's mind like a revolving lantern.
There were prayers at ancient altars, precision instruments in laboratories, and grand balls in the Otherworldly Castle... These seemingly unrelated Memory Fragments began to piece together an astonishing truth.
Wait. Hidden within these images were hints of their love!
Xiao Meng's eyes widened as she saw Sunshine as her knight in ancient times, a scientist fighting alongside her in the future, and in another world, they were lovers promising each other a lifetime of devotion.
"I... I remember!" Xiao Meng murmured, her heart overwhelmed with shock.
The memories of the Ancient Priestess awakened like a fierce beast, instantly taking over her consciousness.

"Ah—" Sunshine gasped but offered no resistance; instead, he looked at Xiao Meng with tenderness.
At the moment their fingertips touched, something miraculous occurred.
The previously raging Xing Sha calmed down, becoming docile like tamed beasts, slowly swirling and emitting a gentle glow.
Countless tiny golden specks poured from their fingertips like twinkling stars, converging into a massive cocoon of light that enveloped them tightly.
"What... what is this?" Xiao Meng exclaimed in astonishment as she gazed at the golden halo surrounding them, feeling as if she were at the center of the universe.
"Buzz—"
The Mechanical Heart vibrated again, projecting a holographic image.
It was a girl in a blue long dress, her beauty ethereal and her demeanor noble and elegant; she was none other than the childhood sweetheart that Sunshine had always cherished.
"The forbidden union of the Witch Bloodline and the Starry Marriage Contract..." the holographic image of the childhood sweetheart spoke slowly, her voice airy and distant as if it came from far beyond the horizon, "will bring unexpected consequences..."
Before her words could finish, countless Black Tentacles suddenly emerged from the Star Sand Vortex, resembling the arms of an Octopus, exuding an oppressive dark aura as they wildly coiled toward Sunshine.
"Be careful!" Xiao Meng cried out in alarm; she tried to push Sunshine away but found herself unable to move at all.
At that critical moment, Sunshine suddenly pulled Xiao Meng into his embrace, holding her tightly. His movement was so abrupt and domineering that Xiao Meng didn't even have time to react before she found herself firmly trapped in his arms.
"Mm..." Xiao Meng let out a muffled gasp as her lips were forcefully sealed by Sunshine's kiss. It was a kiss imbued with a metallic chill yet filled with burning passion. Sunshine's kiss was so intense, as if he wanted to meld Xiao Meng into his very being. He desperately savored the sweetness from her mouth, pouring all his love into that one kiss.
The black tendrils in the Star Sand Vortex seemed to be stimulated, becoming more frenzied as they lashed violently against the golden cocoon, producing a sharp, grating sound. In that perilous moment, Sunshine abruptly stopped kissing her. He lifted his head slightly, his eyes shimmering with an elusive light.
"Trust me," Sunshine's voice was deep and hoarse, carrying an inexplicable allure. "I will protect you."
With that, Sunshine kissed Xiao Meng again, this time more gently and tenderly, as if he wanted to dispel all fear and unease. Suddenly, the Star Sand Vortex began to shake violently, and a tiny crack appeared in the previously stable Golden Cocoon.
"Ka Cha—"
A crisp sound echoed through the Star Sand Vortex, reminiscent of shattering glass. The golden cocoon swayed precariously, like a candle flickering in a storm, ready to extinguish at any moment.
Xiao Meng was left dazed by Sunshine's kiss; her mind buzzed as if she were a sock spun dry in a washing machine, reduced to a mushy mess. Just as everything seemed to spin out of control, she caught sight of something unusual out of the corner of her eye.
On the walls of the Star Sand Vortex, some hasty graffiti had appeared without her noticing, resembling the chaotic scribbles of Bear Child with crayons. But when Xiao Meng focused on it, she gasped in shock—wasn't this the Escape Route Map from Black-hearted Grandpa's "Genius Children's Training Camp"?
Wait a minute. The endpoint of this route was… her own heart?!
Xiao Meng instantly snapped back to reality, feeling as if a bucket of ice water had been poured over her from head to toe, every pore screaming "shock." She pushed Sunshine away abruptly, disregarding the metallic taste lingering on her lips, pointing at the graffiti and stammering, "Sunshine, look… this…"
Looking in the direction she pointed, his face instantly turned ashen.
He certainly understood what those scribbles meant; they were clues he had secretly left behind during his infiltration of the training camp, originally intended to guide the other children to escape. But he never expected…

Sunshine's mechanical body began to emit a grating sound, and some parts even started to fall off, revealing a bloodied and mangled body beneath.
“Ugh…” Sunshine let out a muffled groan, a trickle of blood escaping from the corner of his mouth.
He gritted his teeth against the excruciating pain, fixating his gaze on the center of the Star Sand Vortex, where an eerie mechanical laughter echoed ominously.
“Hahaha… Zha zha jia…” The laughter was like rusty gears grinding against each other, slowly crushing one's nerves and instilling a sense of endless despair.
Suddenly, the laughter ceased abruptly, and a mechanical head composed of countless gears and wires materialized out of thin air. It opened its wide mouth and emitted a piercing sound: “Now, you are the new Time-Space Termite hosts…”
Before the words could fully settle in the air, the mechanical head abruptly stopped moving as if its power had been cut off; all light vanished, leaving only suffocating darkness.
Just when Xiao Meng and Sunshine were left bewildered, an unexpected turn of events left them utterly dumbfounded.
Lin Xiaoman, who had always followed Black-hearted Grandpa like a puppet, suddenly lifted her head. Her eyes were hollow and numb, as if she had lost all her soul.
Then she made an unexpected move—she extended her mechanical arm and violently tore open her own chest…
“Pch—”
A chilling tearing sound echoed through the air.
