In the distance, a deep voice echoed, reminiscent of a DJ's opening remarks at a midnight rave, laced with a hint of mockery. Xiao Meng felt a jolt in her heart; it was akin to the panic of realizing she hadn't studied at all before finals.
Suddenly, a massive Star Sand Vortex appeared in the sky, targeting the shimmering Starlight Robe worn by the Priestess Ancestor. At the center of the vortex, a blurry face became discernible—it was Shadow Azure!
"The hourglass energy needs to consume the Creator's future!" Shadow Azure's voice reverberated, sounding as if it had been altered by a voice changer.
Xiao Meng widened her eyes; something about this plot twist felt off! Typically, wouldn't the protagonist shine with glory while the antagonist received a thorough beating? Yet, in this scenario, it seemed like the villain was gearing up for a comeback.
No, she had to do something! "Time Sandglass, summon—Steam Mech!" Xiao Meng shouted, silently praying that it would be reliable and not conjure up a vacuum cleaner instead.
As Xiao Meng called forth her mech, the surrounding space began to warp, countless gears and metal parts materializing out of thin air and starting to assemble themselves. However, just as the mech was about to take shape, an unfamiliar memory surged into Xiao Meng's mind.
She found herself in a futuristic city filled with towering skyscrapers and hovering cars. Xiao Meng saw herself clad in a silver lab coat, standing before a massive instrument while conducting a secret experiment.
"Doctor, the time energy is unstable; it could cause temporal distortions!" an anxious young assistant exclaimed.
"There's no time for that; this is our only hope!" Xiao Meng (her Future Self) declared resolutely.
The scene shifted back to reality. The Steam Mech had completed its initial assembly but looked rather peculiar—half rugged from the steam age and half sleek from futuristic technology, it was an odd hybrid of Steampunk and Cyberpunk aesthetics.
"What on earth is this?" Xiao Meng couldn't help but complain; the side effects of this Golden Finger were quite overwhelming!
At that moment, parts of the Mechanical Girl suddenly began to reconfigure into a complex Forbidden Technique Array. On the Formation Diagram, countless tiny runes flickered with eerie light, exuding an unsettling aura.
Xiao Meng's Three Lifetimes of Memories were triggered again, this time recalling her past in the Ancient Priestess Clan. She saw herself dressed in a ceremonial Long Robe, standing at an altar and performing an ancient Star Sand Contract.
"The true Lock Core is the overlap of Caster and Priestess across three lifetimes..." An elderly voice resonated in Xiao Meng's ears; it was the Elder of the Witch Clan imparting secret techniques to her.
In an instant, Xiao Meng understood—the true power of the Time Sandglass was not merely summoning items but connecting her memories and powers across three lifetimes.
However, before she could fully grasp this information, new developments arose with Sunshine. She watched as Sunshine's body began to transform; originally composed of Xing Sha, it gradually solidified into a mysterious man clad in an Azure Priest Robe.
"Each use of the hourglass randomly sacrifices the Covenant Maker's memories..." The Azure Priest Form suddenly spoke, his voice deep and magnetic yet tinged with coldness.
Xiao Meng's heart raced—was Sunshine about to turn dark too? This plot twist was unfolding far too quickly! Before she could react further, Shadow Azure seized the opportunity.
He controlled a black Umbilical Cord, striking towards Xiao Meng's back like a venomous snake.
With a soft "thud," the Umbilical Cord pierced Xiao Meng's body with precision.
"Ah!" Xiao Meng cried out in pain, feeling a cold force eroding her from within.
"Ha ha ha... Little girl, I will take your power!" Shadow Azure laughed triumphantly, while the Star Sand Vortex spun faster, ravenously devouring the Priestess Ancestor's Starlight Robe.
The Priestess Ancestor's phantom grew fainter, ultimately transforming into specks of starlight that dissipated into the air.
"No!" Xiao Meng shouted in despair, sensing her strength rapidly draining away.
In that critical moment, Xiao Meng made a bold decision.
Suppressing the intense pain, she grasped the Time Sandglass and forcefully turned it backward!
Once...
Twice...
Three times...
As the Time Sandglass reversed, the surrounding space began to tremble violently, as if time itself had come to a standstill.
Suddenly, a brilliant light shot from the sandglass, and a familiar figure appeared before Xiao Meng.
It was an old man in a tattered Long Robe, with unkempt hair and a scruffy beard, holding a worn-out pipe and wearing a mysterious smile.
"Girl, are you in trouble?" The old man's voice was lazy yet filled with reassuring power.
He was none other than Xiao Meng's Old Grandpa Plugin!
"Now, leave it to me..." The old man slowly exhaled a puff of smoke, and as the mist swirled around him, his figure became increasingly blurred...
Xiao Meng watched helplessly as the Priestess Ancestor's light faded away into nothingness, feeling an overwhelming sense of injustice that could fill an ocean.
It felt like finally gathering enough SSR cards only to have them disassembled with a single click!
Fuming with anger, Xiao Meng disregarded the cold force surging within her and seized the Time Sandglass again, silently chanting "All in," before starting to turn it wildly.
Once... twice... three times...
The entire space began to shake erratically as if it were an old tape recorder malfunctioning.
Suddenly, a blinding beam of holy light burst forth from the sandglass, revealing a figure that looked like it had just been pulled from a trash heap standing before Xiao Meng.
That old man—no, the one they called Grandpa—was wearing a Long Robe whose original color was indiscernible and looked like he had just spent three days digging in a coal mine.
He still had that broken pipe in his mouth and wore an infuriating smile that seemed to say "I have everything under control."
"Girl, have you reached your deadline?" Grandpa's voice was lazy but carried an air of worldly wisdom; yet this very tone filled Xiao Meng with an overwhelming sense of security as if she had discovered the secret to cramming before an exam.
"The Time-Space Loop requires the consciousness of both creator and priestess to merge..." Grandpa slowly exhaled another puff of smoke; amidst the swirling mist, his Holographic Projection appeared even more ethereal.
But those profound words left Xiao Meng utterly confused.

With whom?
However, before Xiao Meng could ask a question, the old man's figure suddenly froze, and the smile on his face became rigid. He was like a video that had been paused, stuck there without moving.
"Ha ha ha... Indeed, the older ginger is spicier, but no matter how old the ginger is, it can't escape my grasp!" Shadow Azure's chilling voice echoed again, filled with the arrogance of a villain triumphant.
Xiao Meng's heart sank as she realized that the old man before her had likely been possessed by Shadow Azure! It felt like just after subscribing to a service, only to discover that her account had been hacked!
At that moment, the Starlight Fragments left behind by Priestess Ancestor suddenly surged toward Xiao Meng's heart as if guided by some unseen force. The sensation was akin to being pierced by countless icy needles at once, causing her to nearly lose consciousness from the pain.
"Ah!" Xiao Meng screamed in agony, feeling her consciousness being gradually devoured.
Yet, just at that critical moment, the Time Sandglass that Xiao Meng held in her hand suddenly shattered with a loud "bang," breaking into three pieces!
The first piece transformed into a grain of golden sand, merging into Xiao Meng's body and filling her with a warm power that spread throughout her being.
The second piece became an exquisite mechanical gear, floating above Xiao Meng's head and emitting a faint silver glow.
The third piece turned into a transparent scale that shimmered with rainbow colors, gently landing on Sunshine's body.
At the same time, a crisp cracking sound suddenly rang out from afar, resembling glass shattering.
Xiao Meng turned to look in the direction of the sound and saw Sunshine's Azure Priest Robe beginning to tear apart inch by inch, transforming into countless Xing Sha and scattering in the wind.
