Under the shimmering starlight, Xiao Meng's back was pierced by Starry Tear, the pain searing like a raging fire. Her body trembled slightly, as if every nerve was screaming in agony. The remnants of the Witch whispered in her ear, their voice like a cold blade slicing through the air: "Wu Tong is the key to a millennium of Reincarnation." This phrase echoed in her mind like an incantation, laden with endless mystery and threat.
At the same time, Xing Jian's Starlight Power transformed into a giant form in its fury, as if it intended to tear apart the very heavens and earth. Each breath he took resonated like thunder, shaking the air around him. The Witch's remnants attempted to devour the essence of the Starry Marriage Contract; however, upon touching Wu Tong, a pained expression flashed across Xing Jian's face, as if there was an inseparable bond between them.
Xiao Meng's Triple Birthmark began to glow suddenly, its hourglass pattern radiating light that flowed across her skin like a river of stars. She felt the bloodline of the First Generation Priestess awakening within her, as if an invisible force was guiding her. Her gaze fell upon the Time-Space Compass on Wu Tong's chest, where she discovered it bore the same Star Pattern Lock Core as her own, as if the gears of fate were locking together at this moment.
"The bloodline of the First Generation Priestess seeks to consume the Witch," Xiao Meng murmured softly, her voice imbued with a resolute strength. She knew she had to sever this millennium-old curse to attain true liberation. At that moment, the Umbilical Cord of the Starlight Baby suddenly split into dual reflections of the Witch and Wu Tong, as if revealing some ancient secret.
Xiao Meng took a deep breath, feeling the power within her surging continuously. "This time, I will not back down." Her voice was firm and clear, as if she were swearing an oath to herself and challenging fate. Just then, Xing Jian's giant form began to collapse into countless shards of starlight that scattered around Xiao Meng. She reached out her hand and gently grasped those fragments of light, as if holding onto her own destiny.
"Witch, your era has come to an end." Xiao Meng's voice echoed among the starlight, filled with unwavering determination and courage. The starlight gradually dimmed; however, a new hope ignited within Xiao Meng's heart. She understood that the road ahead would still be fraught with challenges, but she was no longer that helpless little girl; she had become a powerful being capable of controlling her own fate.
In the fading glow of starlight, Xiao Meng appeared resolute, her eyes shining with an indomitable light. She knew that the real battle was just beginning and that she was ready for it. "Let us see who is truly the master," she said softly, her voice brimming with confidence and anticipation. As the starlight dissipated, it left behind endless suspense and expectation, as if waiting for the next clash of destinies.
Alright, the story begins!
“Oh dear, what’s going on? Is it the ‘external aid expired, forced logout’ situation?” Xiao Meng widened her eyes, staring at the once menacing Witch's Remnant Soul, which suddenly froze in mid-air like a video that had been paused.
“Ka Cha—”
A crisp sound echoed, resembling the shattering of glass or perhaps a Bear Child bursting a piece of bubble gum.
The twisted face of the Witch's Remnant Soul began to crack, pieces flaking off like old wall plaster meeting a demolition crew, clean and swift.
“Wow! Is this… rejuvenation?” Xiao Meng exclaimed, watching as the flaking fragments did not vanish but floated, spun, and reassembled in the air, like a 3D puzzle being pieced together. However, instead of a cute kitten, what emerged was… a younger version of the Witch!
This younger Witch still bore traces of youthful innocence in her eyes, but her gaze was chilling, more unsettling than that of a millennia-old demon.
She slowly spoke, her voice sounding like that of an Old Witch with a voice changer—hoarse yet sharp: “Bloodline Loop… must rely on… Dual Womb… to complete…”
Xiao Meng felt her mind spinning; the amount of information was overwhelming, far more than a shopping cart on Double Eleven!
Scratching her head, she muttered to herself, “Dual Womb? What on earth is that? Is it some sort of ‘buy one get one free, uterus mega sale’?”
Before Xiao Meng could finish her sarcastic remark, another change occurred!
“Roar—”
A tremendous roar erupted from Xing Jian’s direction, causing Xiao Meng’s ears to buzz as if someone were banging drums inside her head.
She quickly covered her ears and looked up to see Xing Jian surrounded by Starlight Power going berserk, bubbling like a pot of boiling porridge that was about to explode!
“Oh dear! Is this going to be ‘Stars Shining Across the Heavens’? Please don’t blow up my parent-teacher meeting!” Xiao Meng stomped her feet anxiously.
“Bang—”
With a loud crash, the image of the younger Witch was shattered by Xing Jian’s rampaging Starlight Power, transforming into countless stars scattered across the sky like an extravagant fireworks display—though this fireworks show had a rather “chilling” flavor.
“The Witch’s immortality… requires… devouring… the First Generation… priest…”
Two Starlight Babies sounded hoarse and intermittent as if they were ducks with their necks squeezed. Their little faces turned crimson as if they had been constipated for three days and finally managed to squeeze out a few words before abruptly stopping.
“What? Devouring? Are we about to stage ‘The Priest on the Tip of the Tongue’?” Xiao Meng felt her worldview shatter. “In this day and age, even immortality is so competitive? Are we really doing ‘The Hunger Games’?”
Just then, Wu Tong’s Time-Space Compass suddenly made a “Ka Cha” sound and cracked open!
The Torn Space-Time Compass did not shatter into pieces; instead, it transformed into shimmering droplets of Starshine, cascading like a meteor shower across the night sky.
These Starry Tears did not scatter in all directions; they seemed to have a mind of their own, flying straight toward Wu Tong's heart.
"Plop—"
The Starry Tear pierced Wu Tong's heart, producing a faint sound, akin to a needle pricking a balloon, or perhaps the sound of some kind of seal being broken.
"Brother..." Wu Tong murmured as she gazed at Xing Jian.
