The glowing sphere of Lingqi in that person's palm continued to expand in the air, its blinding blue light illuminating the entire forest. Lin Yuan instantly activated the Time Manipulator, and the world around him slowed down.
"Scatter!" he shouted, waving his right hand as a golden barrier unfolded before everyone.
The glowing sphere rushed forward, crashing into the barrier with a deafening roar. The golden shield trembled violently, cracks spreading like a spiderweb. Lin Yuan let out a muffled groan as a mouthful of blood surged to his throat, which he forced down.
"What the hell is this power?" Zhang Qiang exclaimed, his eyes wide with shock. "I could withstand Vice President Lu's attacks in the Original World, and now a mere lackey here..."
"Shut up! Focus on the situation!" Lin Yuan interrupted sharply, activating all his Guan Qi Abilities to quickly analyze the strength of their opponents.
Seeing that his attack had failed, the man sneered. "Outsiders? Interesting."
The two individuals behind him also set down their instruments and stepped forward slowly. The three formed a triangle, their palms facing each other as Lingqi created a peculiar circuit between them.
"Be careful! They're forming a formation!" Su Jiu'er cried out, her compass spinning wildly. "This is some kind of amplification array!"
Lin Yuan's expression hardened as he whispered, "Zhou Haoran, take Su Jiu'er to find cover. Zhang Qiang, come with me!"
Zhou Haoran nodded and quickly pulled Su Jiu'er behind a large tree. Zhang Qiang swung out his Nine-section Whip with a grin. "Boss, let's team up and take down these show-offs!"
As the three cultivators completed their formation, the leader clasped his hands together, condensing a Lingqi sphere ten times larger than before. Lin Yuan could feel the destructive power contained within that sphere, capable of leveling everything within a hundred-meter radius.
"Time-Space Manipulation: Time Stopped!"
Lin Yuan exerted all his strength into the Time Manipulator; the world around him came to a complete standstill. The glowing sphere hung in mid-air, even the dust in the air frozen in place. This was the first time he had completely stopped time rather than merely slowing it down.
“One second…” Cold sweat beaded on Lin Yuan’s forehead as he realized he could only maintain this for a very brief moment.
He dashed toward the three individuals like lightning, golden light emanating from his right hand as he pressed it directly against the chest of their leader.
"Material Decomposition!"
With a soft sound, the clothing on the person's chest instantly transformed into Lingqi Particles, revealing their skin. Lin Yuan was astonished to discover that beneath the skin, there was a layer of light blue Lingqi shield.
"Defensive Spirit Armor?" Lin Yuan furrowed his brows and increased his power output.
The Lingqi shield began to crack, but the effect of Time Stopped was nearing its limit. Gritting his teeth, Lin Yuan cranked the power of the Time Manipulator to maximum.
"Break for me!"
With a sharp crack, the Lingqi shield shattered completely. Lin Yuan's palm made direct contact with the person's skin, and the Material Decomposition Ability activated instantly. The person's body began to decompose rapidly from the point of contact, turning into pure Lingqi Particles.
As time resumed its flow, the Lingqi orb lost control and exploded in mid-air. The shockwave sent Lin Yuan flying, crashing heavily against a large tree. The other two Cultivators stared in shock at their companion's disappearance, momentarily forgetting to react.
"Damn, that move was so cool, Boss!" Zhang Qiang shouted excitedly, seizing the opportunity to whip out his Nine-section Whip, wrapping it around one person's neck.
The person reacted quickly, grabbing the whip with both hands as Lingqi surged along it towards Zhang Qiang. Zhang Qiang's expression changed as he hurriedly released his grip, but it was too late. A violent surge of Lingqi rushed into his body, causing him to collapse to the ground in agony.
"Zhang Qiang!” Lin Yuan struggled to stand up, his heart ablaze with anger.
The remaining two Cultivators exchanged glances and simultaneously formed seals. The ground suddenly trembled as countless vines erupted from the soil, wrapping around Lin Yuan and the others.
"What the hell is this?" Zhou Haoran shouted, pulling out a laser cutter from his backpack and frantically slicing at the encroaching vines.
Su Jiu'er's compass transformed into a Bronze shield, blocking most of the vines, but there were too many, and it quickly broke through their defenses.
Seeing the dire situation, Lin Yuan prepared to use the Time Manipulator again when he suddenly felt a sharp pain. The device in his palm emitted a piercing alarm sound, indicating that it could not be used again in such a short time.
"Damn it!" Lin Yuan gritted his teeth and had no choice but to rely on his Guan Qi Abilities to look for weaknesses.
At that moment, a figure descended from the sky, wielding an ancient long sword. As the blade pointed, the vines withered as if they had encountered a fierce fire.
"Stop!" the person shouted sternly. "This is the business of the Tianhua National Qi Gong Association. Unrelated individuals, retreat immediately!"
Lin Yuan looked up and saw that the newcomer was a young man in his early twenties, dressed in a uniform similar to the other three but more ornate, with a more exquisite badge on his chest. His gaze was sharp like an eagle, and the Spiritual Energy Fluctuation around him was even stronger than that of the previous three.
"Zhang Tianming, what are you doing?" the young man questioned. "Why are you attacking outsiders without permission?"
The remaining two Cultivators immediately bowed their heads in respect. "Director Wang, these people suddenly appeared in the restricted area, and we suspect they are intruders..."
"Shut up!" Director Wang interrupted sharply. "Can't you see they are Transcenders?"
He turned to Lin Yuan, sizing him up from head to toe. "Which parallel world do you come from?"
Lin Yuan watched him warily, not answering immediately. Su Jiu'er quietly moved closer and whispered, "He knows about the existence of parallel worlds and seems unfazed by Transcenders."
Lin Yuan nodded, deciding to test the waters. "We come from the world of 2042, during the Spiritual Energy Revival, and accidentally discovered a passage to this world."
Director Wang's eyes lit up. "2042 during the Spiritual Energy Revival? Interesting. Here it is 2142; the Spiritual Energy Revival has been ongoing for a hundred years."
"A hundred years?" Zhou Haoran exclaimed, adjusting his glasses in surprise. "Could it be that time flows differently in the two worlds?"
Director Wang shook his head. "No, it's just different starting points. The Spiritual Energy Revival on your side was delayed by a hundred years." He looked at Lin Yuan again. "However, your strength..."
Before he could finish his sentence, Lin Yuan suddenly felt a powerful mental force sweep over him as if trying to uncover all his secrets. He quickly activated his Guan Qi Abilities to resist it, and for a brief moment, their powers clashed within him.
Director Wang frowned, clearly surprised that Lin Yuan could withstand his mental probing. He let out a cold laugh. "You've got some skill. But in this world, you're still too weak."
Lin Yuan discreetly concealed his Time Manipulator in his sleeve while observing his surroundings for possible escape routes.
"Don't be nervous," Director Wang seemed to see through Lin Yuan's thoughts. "We have no ill intentions towards outsiders. In fact, we have been studying the phenomenon of crossing into parallel worlds."
He gestured, and the other two Cultivators immediately relaxed their aggressive stances.
"My name is Wang Lihua, Deputy Director of the Tianhua National Qi Gong Association's Third Research Institute," he introduced himself. "These two are my assistants, Chen Zhiqiang and..." He paused, glancing at the spot where Lin Yuan had disassembled the other man. "Zhang Tianming was supposed to be there."
Lin Yuan showed no intention of apologizing. "He attacked first."
Wang Lihua nodded. "I understand. Travelers are usually very cautious; Zhang Tianming was too reckless." He looked at the compass in Su Jiu'er's hand. "An interesting antique; it seems your technological development path differs from ours."
Su Jiu'er put away the compass. "We were just passing through, with no malice intended."
"Of course, of course," Wang Lihua smiled. "In fact, we can help you. This world is dangerous for newcomers, especially this forest, which is filled with mutated creatures."
Lin Yuan remained vigilant. "What are you doing here?"

The man in the projection—Li Honghe—turned his gaze to Lin Yuan, his eyes piercing. "Interesting. You, young man, your Spiritual Energy Fluctuation is quite unique; it doesn't resemble that of a conventional cultivator."
Lin Yuan could feel the immense spiritual power emanating from the projection, far stronger than Wang Lihua—at least ten times more powerful. He quietly activated his Guan Qi Abilities to analyze the composition of the opponent's strength.

Wang Lihua nodded. "Of course, but don't take too long. This forest becomes dangerous after dark."
Lin Yuan led his companions aside and whispered, "This invitation came too suddenly; I don't trust them."
"I feel the same way," Su Jiu'er frowned. "But we know nothing about this world. If we refuse hastily, we might end up in an even more dangerous situation."
Zhou Haoran exclaimed excitedly, "But this is a fantastic opportunity! Just think about it—a world where Spiritual Energy Revival has lasted for a hundred years. Their technology and cultivation systems must far exceed ours!"
Zhang Qiang rubbed his arm, which had been impacted by Lingqi, grimacing. "All I can say is that these people are incredibly strong. That kid's Lingqi almost burned through my Meridian!"
Lin Yuan pondered for a moment before deciding to accept the invitation for now. "Let's go with them to gather more information while staying vigilant. We’ll find a way back when the opportunity arises."
He turned to Wang Lihua. "We accept the invitation, but with one condition—we retain our right to act freely."
Wang Lihua smiled. "Of course, you’re not prisoners. But in this world, without our help, survival will be quite difficult for you." He pointed toward the depths of the forest. "Especially when those more dangerous beings appear."
Lin Yuan followed his gaze and felt a chilling aura lurking deep within the forest. It was an existence a hundred times stronger than the monsters they had just encountered, lying in wait for something.
"Let’s go," Wang Lihua turned around. "My flying vehicle is nearby."
Lin Yuan took a deep breath and followed Wang Lihua's lead. No matter what purpose the Qi Gong Association had in this parallel world, they needed to gather more information to formulate their next plan.
The Time Manipulator in his palm vibrated gently, as if warning him of some potential danger. Lin Yuan clenched his fist, feeling a sense of caution. What secrets lay hidden behind this seemingly friendly invitation?
