Jiang Chen casually tossed the Katana, which flew towards Wangang Yorin and embedded itself in the ground before him.
Wangang Yorin looked down at the Katana. "Is this... the Godslayer of Master Ishii Ansei?" he exclaimed in shock.
"How did the Godslayer end up in your hands?" Wangang Yorin questioned Jiang Chen, disbelief evident in his voice. Ishii Ansei had died at the hands of a young Huaxia person last year, causing a stir throughout the Island Nation's Martial Arts World. Wangang Yorin had certainly heard of it; after Ishii Ansei's death, his legendary sword, the Godslayer, had gone missing, and no one knew its whereabouts. It was reasonable to assume it was with that young Huaxia person.
"If you die today, that Katana on you will also be in my possession," Jiang Chen said with a light laugh. His meaning was clear.
Wangang Yorin's eyes widened in horror for a moment. "Master Ishii Ansei... did he die at your hands?" His voice trembled slightly.
If that were true, he had underestimated this Huaxia person before him. If he could kill Ishii Ansei, then he could certainly kill him as well.
"Those who recognize the times are wise; those who do not become ghosts. You wouldn't want to become a ghost, would you?" Jiang Chen said with a faint smile.
Wangang Yorin stood frozen, his mind in turmoil, unsure of what to do. It was quite awkward.
After a few seconds, Wangang Yorin finally spoke up, "Then Yamato Zawafu was also killed by you?"
Jiang Chen nodded slightly.
Wangang Yorin felt increasingly cold inside; the confidence he had just moments ago vanished instantly. Yamato Zawafu was a master of ninjutsu from the Island Nation, and Ishii Ansei was the top swordsman there. If both had died at Jiang Chen's hands, Wangang Yorin realized that if he fought Jiang Chen, there would only be one outcome: death.
At this moment, Wangang Yorin was torn over the truth of Jiang Chen's words. After all, merely possessing a Godslayer did not prove that Ishii Ansei and Yamato Zawafu had been killed by Jiang Chen; it was possible that he had acquired the Godslayer through some means.
The atmosphere became delicate.
Most of the Delson family members did not understand Huaxia language and were completely unaware of the conversation between Jiang Chen and Wangang Yorin. However, they were astonished by how Jiang Chen had conjured a Katana seemingly out of thin air.
Though impressive, such tricks were not entirely unheard of among those who had seen more extraordinary feats before; some magic tricks were even more astonishing than this.
What surprised them even more was Wangang Yorin's reaction; they could clearly sense his aura weakening upon seeing the Katana.
"Wangang Jun, make your move," Qiu Jisi Delson said.
Wangang Yorin hesitated, feeling a sense of trepidation towards Jiang Chen. However, having received benefits from Qiu Jisi Delson, he could not refuse when his boss spoke. The most crucial point was that martial artists often needed to see the coffin before shedding tears; he would not back down until he had personally experienced Jiang Chen's strength.
"Even if Master Ishii Ansei was indeed killed by you, it’s unacceptable for you to commit murder so casually here today. I want to test your strength. If you can defeat me, I will naturally step aside," Wangang Yorin said, his tone lacking the earlier bravado as he sought to leave himself some room for retreat.
"Are you sure you want to fight me?" Jiang Chen asked, looking at Wangang Yorin with a faint smile.
"Absolutely," Wangang Yorin replied, steeling himself. He refused to be intimidated by Jiang Chen's words; regardless of the outcome, it was necessary to spar.
