Jiang Chen casually threw the Katana, which flew towards Wangang Yorin and embedded itself in the ground before him.
Wangang Yorin looked down at the Katana in front of him. “This... this is Master Ishii Ansei's Godslayer?” he exclaimed, his face pale with shock.
“How did the Godslayer end up in your hands?” Wangang Yorin questioned Jiang Chen incredulously. Ishii Ansei had died at the hands of a young Huaxia person last year, a sensational event that shook the martial arts community of the Island Nation. Naturally, Wangang Yorin had heard about it. After Ishii Ansei's death, his legendary sword, the Godslayer, had gone missing, and no one knew its whereabouts. It was reasonable to assume it was in the possession of that young Huaxia person.
“If you die today, that Katana will also be in my hands,” Jiang Chen said with a light laugh. His meaning was clear.
Wangang Yorin's eyes widened in horror for a moment. “Master Ishii Ansei... was killed by you?” he asked, his voice trembling slightly. If that were true, he had severely underestimated this Huaxia person before him; someone who could kill Ishii Ansei could certainly kill him as well.
“A wise person knows how to adapt to circumstances; a foolish one becomes a ghost. I assume you wouldn’t want to become a ghost, would you?” Jiang Chen said with a faint smile.
Wangang Yorin stood frozen in place, his mind in turmoil, unsure of what to do next; it was quite an awkward situation. After a few seconds, he finally spoke up, “Then Yamato Zawafu was also killed by you?”
Jiang Chen nodded slightly.
Wangang Yorin felt increasingly cold inside; the confidence he had just moments ago vanished completely. Yamato Zawafu was a master of ninjutsu from the Island Nation, and Ishii Ansei was the top swordsman there. If both had fallen to Jiang Chen’s hands, Wangang Yorin realized that if he engaged Jiang Chen now, there would only be one outcome: death.
At that moment, Wangang Yorin was torn about the truth of Jiang Chen's words. After all, merely possessing a Godslayer did not prove that Ishii Ansei and Yamato Zawafu were killed by Jiang Chen; it was possible that he had acquired the Godslayer through some means.
The atmosphere became tense and delicate. Most of the Delson Family members did not understand Huaxia Language and were completely unaware of the conversation between Jiang Chen and Wangang Yorin. However, they were astonished by how Jiang Chen had conjured a Katana seemingly out of thin air. While impressive, many had seen more astonishing feats of magic before; this alone wasn’t enough to leave them awestruck.
What surprised them even more was Wangang Yorin's reaction; they could clearly sense his aura weakening upon seeing the Katana.
“Wangang Jun, make your move,” Qiu Jisi Delson said.
Wangang Yorin hesitated, feeling a strong sense of apprehension towards Jiang Chen. However, having received benefits from Qiu Jisi Delson, he couldn't refuse when his boss spoke. The most critical factor was that martial artists often wouldn't shed tears until they faced the grave; he wouldn't back down without personally experiencing Jiang Chen's strength.
"Even if Master Ishii Ansei was indeed killed by you, it's unacceptable for you to kill indiscriminately here today. I want to test your strength. If you can defeat me, I will naturally step aside," Wangang Yorin said, his tone less assertive than before, as he needed to leave himself some room for retreat.
"Are you sure you want to fight me?" Jiang Chen asked, looking at Wangang Yorin with a faint smile.
"Absolutely," Wangang Yorin replied, steeling himself. He couldn't let Jiang Chen intimidate him with mere words. Regardless of the outcome, it was necessary to spar a little.
