Yun Li walked over and tossed the cup aside.
Water splashed onto him once more, this time soaking his shirt at the chest. The satin fabric quickly absorbed the liquid, leaving a large wet patch that extended from his chest down to his abdomen.
Feeling pleased with herself, Yun Li thought, This time he has to leave!
However, she soon realized that the wet shirt had turned transparent, clinging tightly to his well-defined abs like a layer of clear protective film.
Her eyes darted around nervously. She set down the cup and tried to make a run for it. "Sorry, you clean up. I’ll go wash the dishes."
Jiang Shiyu reached out and grabbed her wrist, standing up with one hand pressing against the back of her neck. His thumb gently brushed against the skin behind her ear.
"Where do you think you're going? You deliberately soaked my clothes; you can't just run off without cleaning it up."
"I didn't do it on purpose! You clearly dropped it yourself."
"You caught it so full; I'm not a bowl, how could I catch it all?"
Yun Li was momentarily speechless, lightly muttering, "Who told you to linger around?"
Jiang Shiyu handed her a black cloth. "Wipe it off!"
Yun Li tossed it aside. "You could just go home and change."
"I haven't finished eating yet."
"Take it back; the bowl is yours now."
Jiang Shiyu held onto the back of her head, preventing her from escaping. In his dark eyes, the reflection of her own image stared back at her.
In their standoff, Yun Li was the first to crack. "Fine, fine! I’ll wipe it for you; is that okay?"
"I'll go get it."
Jiang Shiyu tilted his chin toward the floor. "Isn't it right here?"
Yun Li certainly couldn’t say she was going to wipe his feet; that would just make things dirty.
He smiled at her. "You’re really something."
Yun Li thought to herself that she suspected he was teasing her.
She headed to the bathroom with Jiang Shiyu trailing behind her. The bathroom usually felt quite spacious when Yun Li was alone, but as soon as he stepped inside, it suddenly seemed cramped.
Jiang Shiyu quietly closed the door, and Yun Li handed him a clean cloth to wipe with.
As she turned around and looked at the scene before her, regret suddenly washed over her. This method didn't harm him; it harmed me.
With a flushed face, she began to wipe, slowly moving down from her chest. The cold water had long since become familiar to her, and Jiang Shiyu's gentle gaze was fixed on her.
Yun Li watched the rippling muscles and felt an inexplicable itch in her hands. Should she take advantage of the moment? No, no, she quickly dismissed that thought. It was too easy to lose control. The last time had been a vivid example of that.
Was he doing this on purpose? He definitely was. She couldn't let him in again next time. It felt like her mind was losing the battle against him.
While Yun Li's thoughts spiraled, Jiang Shiyu suppressed a smile, choosing not to expose her inner turmoil but instead guiding her slowly. "If you can't wipe it dry, how about using the hairdryer?"
His voice resonated in the bathroom, deep and rich, sending a tingling current through Yun Li's ears. Her tone became somewhat unnatural. "Ah..."
She hung the cloth back up and retrieved the hairdryer from below, only to turn around and see him unbuttoning his shirt. She instinctively took a step back as if facing a formidable opponent. "What are you doing taking off your clothes?"
He feigned innocence, "How can I dry off without taking it off?"
"You can button up! Who said you can't dry off without taking it off?"
Jiang Shiyu smirked as he re-buttoned his shirt and opened his arms wide. "Come on!" He looked like a young master waiting to be served.
Yun Li frowned, plugged in the hairdryer, and pressed the button. The roar of the machine drowned out some of the tension between them, calming her racing heart considerably.
She focused on blowing, as the satin fabric of her shirt dried easily. Jiang Shiyu leaned down and whispered in her ear, "Pull the fabric a bit to make it dry faster." Yun Li took his words seriously and followed his advice, responding with an "Oh."
