Lu Ziye found it hard to imagine how much stronger he needed to become to keep fighting like this. Should he just level up directly and enjoy the rapid attack speed? No, what if he didn’t want this battle to end? He had to think of a way to keep grinding for a while longer, until the Gray Zone no longer suited him, and then he would make a beeline for the Blue Zone to continue his development.

"Me?" Lu Ziye was a bit surprised. Did the Commander think so highly of him? "Commander, I’ve only been in the Gray Zone for a day."
"Stop acting surprised! Hurry up! I’ve seen your strength; you’re more than capable of participating in this kind of battle. Don’t worry, if it really gets tough, I’ll rescue you as your Guardian Mecha," Ke Jianfeng said without any irritation.
Here they come! Lu Ziye grinned and followed in the Commander’s footsteps. The Mechanical Beasts in the Blue Zone were different; Lu Ziye saw hundreds of much larger Mechanical Beasts charging toward them. Among them was a top-tier Mechanical Tyrannosaurus, measuring several meters long and towering high, looking quite terrifying.
The Energy Core in the chest of the Mechanical Tyrannosaurus was enormous, radiating an abundance of energy. Some members of the Mecha Legion expressed their discontent and immediately unleashed thousands of Energy Shells at the Mechanical Tyrannosaurus.
Surprisingly, a multi-barreled high-speed energy cannon mounted on the back of the Mechanical Tyrannosaurus fired in unison, while other Mechanical Beasts nearby coordinated to intercept many of the incoming Energy Shells. A portion of the remaining Energy Shells managed to withstand impact thanks to its tough armor.
"Damn it, let’s stop! Let’s just stick to fighting smaller monsters." Realizing their power gap, many Mechanics decided not to engage in high-level battles anymore; they were now clearer about their own positioning.
Lu Ziye also wondered how his strength measured up against these Mechanical Beasts. With an extra boost in attack speed, he could unleash Energy Shells at an astonishing rate. His target was a top-tier Mechanical Unicorn Rhino.
Hundreds of crimson Energy Shells soared through the air toward their target. As they struck, the body of the Mechanical Unicorn Rhino was instantly riddled with holes, each about a meter in diameter, revealing its bones beneath.
The tremendous power of the Energy Shells and continuous strikes forced the charging Mechanical Unicorn Rhino to retreat repeatedly; it had intended to charge forward but was now being pushed back.
Roaring in anger, it bellowed for its retreat. Before it could unleash another attack with its Energy Shells, the Unicorn Rhino collapsed under fire, while the remaining Energy Shells rained down on nearby Mechanical Beasts.
The first wave of Energy Shells came one after another, relentless and unyielding.
In the past, when facing Level Mechanical Beasts, the damage dealt was scattered and inconsistent. Now, as he engaged in a higher-level battle against Mechanical Beasts, the damage output was more pronounced and effective. Lu Ziye felt satisfied with his current firepower.
With this small test of strength, Lu Ziye's confidence grew, and he boldly chose to take on a high-level Mechanical Crocodile. However, what he did not expect was that there was a fundamental difference between high-level Mechanical Beasts and their lower counterparts. The Mechanical Crocodile, being a guardian-type Mechanical Beast, took him a full second to defeat.
A whole second! It took him that long to achieve a higher-level kill, which left Lu Ziye feeling quite dissatisfied with himself. He muttered softly, "I am still not strong enough to instantly kill a Mechanical Beast."
This statement caught the attention of Kong Tianwei nearby. As a high-level Mechanic, Kong Tianwei knew that not only could he not kill a Mechanical Beast instantly, but he also didn’t dare to confront such beasts head-on; he could only kite them from a distance.
" Commander, can you hear this? Is this even humanly possible? Someone needs to rein him in!" Kong Tianwei looked at Ke Jianfeng with pleading eyes.
Ke Jianfeng frowned as well. "I can’t control him. Do you think after this battle he’ll still listen to me?"
"True!" Kong Tianwei nodded in agreement. His gaze toward Lu Ziye was filled with admiration and envy, but there was no trace of jealousy. In his heart, Lu Ziye was a treasure of the Dragon Kingdom, a tremendous opportunity.
Years later, Lu Ziye's attack speed had reached an impressive level. Now, killing monsters in the Gray Zone no longer yielded any rewards for attack speed. His sights were set on the High-Level Mechanical Beasts in the Blue Zone.
