The modifications were complete, and after an hour of waiting during the military tests, the sound of completion echoed throughout the Hangar. Lu Ziye's future Level Thunder Dragon Army had reclaimed the Wan Soul Crystal and replaced it with a brand new Level Red Storm.
With a swift motion, the mech's left hand formed a fist, and in the next moment, the Energy Core activated. A powerful red energy quickly coalesced in his left hand, forming a Red Lightsaber that measured several meters in length. With a casual swing, the sound of the blade resonated through the Hangar.
What a fine sword! Lu Ziye thought to himself with certainty.
Above the Gray Zone Joint Command, a Starship hovered in place. This Starship was bound for the Blue Zone, carrying passengers who had graduated from the Gray Zone and were now entering the Blue Zone as Mechanics.
Lu Ziye's current strength was no longer suited for the Gray Zone. After a heartfelt farewell from Commander Ke Jianfeng of the Dragon Kingdom, he boarded the Starship. This marked the beginning of a new journey.
At the Blue Zone Joint Command Center, within the Dragon Nation Exclusive Training Ground, Dragon Legion Commander Xiao Ming pointed to a towering Test Mecha in the distance and said, "Don't worry; I've lowered the difficulty. This Specialized Armor has a Firepower Index of only ten thousand. If Lu Ziye can withstand it for one minute, he will pass."
Qiu Yuan nodded repeatedly. "Let's see how he performs. Legion Commander Liu Tianwei is so fond of talent; it's his good fortune."
After speaking, Qiu Yuan glanced at the Dragon Emblem on his chest, unable to suppress his pride as he puffed out his chest, eager for others to notice the emblem indicating he was a member of the Dragon Legion Star. As soon as Lu Ziye landed, Qiu Yuan waved frantically and introduced him to Xiao Ming.
"Legion Commander Liu Tianwei!" Lu Ziye stood at attention and saluted with perfect military decorum.
"Ah! Very spirited! I've heard about your achievements," Xiao Ming remarked. "Wait... have you leveled up again?" He sensed Lu Ziye's mech energy intensity, which seemed to far exceed expectations.
Mechanics could use Mecha Radar to gauge energy levels of Mechanical Beasts and Human Mechs alike.
"I just leveled up," Lu Ziye replied honestly.
"Not bad! You might just become the lowest-ranked member of the Dragon Rising Legion. Make sure to give it your all during this assessment," Xiao Ming said with satisfaction while pointing toward the distant Star Test Mecha.
"If I defeat it, can I join the Dragon Rising Legion?" Lu Ziye asked excitedly.
Qiu Yuan and Xiao Ming couldn't help but twitch their lips. This kid really has a big heart.
"It's not about defeating it; you just need to last a minute under its control. Don't worry, the damage to the mecha will be repaired for free at the Hangar," Xiao Ming explained.
Lu Ziye glanced at the Test Mecha in the distance. It looked unremarkable, but Lu Ziye knew that often, the more ordinary the appearance, the more powerful the hidden strength. That's how it is in novels.
"I won't underestimate any opponent. Even if I have some odds, I will use my full firepower to respond."
"Kid! The world is yours; I believe in you. Go for it!" Xiao Ming said with a smile, waving his hand as an assistant activated the Test Mecha.
With a roar of mechanical joints, the mecha's Energy Core powered up and came to life.
Lu Ziye entered the testing area with utmost vigilance, drawing his Red Storm Army from his left side.
With a thunderous roar accompanied by a surge of violent energy, the red sword in his hand blazed fiercely, its energy abundant as if it were a hellish sword capable of cleaving heaven and earth.
The Superconducting Kinetic Cannon slowly rose on his right arm, locking onto the target.
The Test Mecha gestured for Lu Ziye to make the first move.
"Very good, quite polite! Then I won't hold back." Lu Ziye thought to himself. In the next moment, the Superconducting Kinetic Cannon unleashed its energy like a dam bursting, with Energy Shells pouring out like a raging flood.
The densely packed Energy Shells formed a continuous line and all struck the chest of the Test Mecha in an instant.
The powerful impact sent the several ten-thousand-ton Test Mecha staggering backward, crashing into a stone wall after retreating several meters.
The stone wall was further shattered by the Energy Shells, completely burying the silhouette of the test mecha beneath the rubble.
However, Lu Ziye remained steady. A test from the Dragon Rising Legion could not be this simple.
