In the Black Zone, Xiao Ming stood alongside dozens of Five Star Dragon Warriors, gazing into the endless abyss before them, where the Beast Roar echoed without pause.
"Legion Commander Liu Tianwei, that little guy is interesting and ambitious. I wonder how far he can go in the future," one of the Five Star Warriors chuckled.
I never considered ambition to be a negative trait. In this dreadful world, those without ambition would have perished long ago. Humanity can only move forward; we have no retreat, for behind us lies Lan Xing, Xiao Ming stated seriously.
"Recently, the Black Zone Abyss has become increasingly unstable. It has been a month since you defeated the Abyss Beast. I wonder what terrifying existence will emerge this time. Exploring here is meaningful; for now, ensuring the stable advancement of Resource Star is crucial for humanity's survival. We desperately need a group of capable Youth Mechanics and even more so a sharp blade to pierce deep into the Mechanical Beast world and shatter their manufactured predicaments," Xiao Ming said, tightening his fist as he spoke of the sharp blade.
"Legion Commander Liu Tianwei, do you want Lu Ziye to be that blade? You must know that even when you were immensely powerful back then, uniting with three top Master Mechanics from abroad did not allow you to enter the Star Gate. What makes you think he can?" a Five Star Warrior expressed concern.
"I feel he is powerful beyond imagination. For the first time, I sensed a Mechanic's strength could completely shock me. This feeling was something I never experienced even during that battle in the Black Zone against the Abyss Beast," Xiao Ming recalled his assessment of Lu Ziye with lingering astonishment.
"Legion Commander Liu Tianwei, if we defeat the Mechanical Beasts, what will this world look like? What will we do afterward?"
The sudden question left Xiao Ming stunned; he had never considered it before.
"Perhaps it will be happiness!" Xiao Ming answered casually.
The nearby Dragon Warriors were completely captivated by the word "happiness," for in their world, there was only war and death.
Their contemplation was ruthlessly interrupted by another Beast Roar from below the abyss. As they watched the increasingly violent Mechanical Beasts, Xiao Ming's gaze regained its determination: "Meanwhile, at the Black Zone United Headquarters, preparations are underway to counteract the uprising in the Black Zone Abyss. How many times has this been now?"
"This is the nth time, Legion Commander Liu Tianwei!"
In the Blue Zone, within a certain Mechanical Domain mission area, Bob and his team rushed to the scene only to find themselves surrounded by countless Mechanical Beasts and Metal Wreckage—mostly Ordinary Mechanical Beasts, with even an Elite Mechanical Beast among them.
"Mossang: I noticed something was off when that person left; his flying speed was unusually fast. However, he arrived only ten minutes ahead of us at most. How could he have resolved all these Mechanical Beasts around the Mechanical Nest so quickly? I don't believe it."
"Xiao Bi Zai Zai Zi: I don't believe it either; there are just too many of them. Besides, he's only at level one—lower than us—how could that be possible?"
"Bob: We can't afford to be careless. Let's speed up and head into the depths of the Mechanical Nest to see what's going on."
The three didn't dare delay any further and activated their powers as they sprinted toward the interior of the Mechanical Nest.
However, as they ventured deeper inside, their astonishment grew; along their path, there were more and more Mechanical Beasts and Metal Wreckage appearing in denser clusters.
This meant that their opponent had been slaughtering Mechanical Beasts at such a pace that they couldn't keep up—how could this even be possible?
"Xiao Bi Zai Zai Zi: Captain, I have a bad feeling about this; things are getting increasingly sinister today."
"Mossang: Commander has hinted multiple times that competition with the Dragon Kingdom is unavoidable. This time, Resource Star has increased its share significantly; while Dragon Kingdom has acquired many new Mine Areas, they haven't increased allocations for other allies but have monopolized them."
"Bob: So, these Dragon Kingdom Mechanics are getting more and more arrogant. This time, he wants to enjoy the fruits of victory all by himself.
