At the Black Zone, within the Blue Star United Command Headquarters, commanders from various nations were convening to discuss how to respond to the next Abyssal Riot.
The Eagle Sauce Commander, wrapped in bandages, spoke weakly, "Look at us old folks. Can we really handle the next riot? The number of Ancient Mechanical Beasts they are resurrecting is increasing."
The Asan Country Commander, who had lost both legs and had his mech completely destroyed during the last Black Zone Abyss riot, managed to salvage his Energy Core. Now that the Blue Zone has stabilized, we can promote some top Mechanics from the Red Zone to the Black Zone. In the next Abyssal Riot, let’s make one more effort to buy humanity a little more time."
A collective sigh filled the meeting room.
"By the way, how is that young lad doing? You’ve always had high hopes for him," asked the Eagle Sauce Nation Commander, looking at Xiao Ming.
"Not great; he’s still in training," Xiao Ming replied with a smile.
"It’s time for him to be exposed to the hidden world. We shouldn’t keep him sheltered. He is also part of Lan Xing and a soldier of the United Command Center; he should fight for all of us," stated the Eagle Sauce Nation Commander seriously.

Suddenly, Lu Ziye entered the Ancient Beast Nest at the designated coordinates and was astonished to find that his mech was losing Soul Crystals every second.
The surface of his Surge Mecha emitted waves of ghostly blue energy mist as it absorbed Soul Crystals from its surroundings.
No wonder Legion Commander Liu Tianwei rewarded me with Wan Soul Crystals; no wonder the exploration teams from Dragon Kingdom were reluctant to enter. They sent me alone for this exploration—this kind of Soul Crystal depletion means that the more people come in, the worse it gets for them.
Watching as the mist of Lan Xing's Soul Crystals drifted deeper into the Mechanical Nest, Lu Ziye speculated that these Soul Crystals must ultimately be heading towards something deep within.

A giant Mechanical Beast stood in a grand hall, surrounded by various intricate instruments connected to it.
A massive screen displayed various data points that Lu Ziye couldn’t comprehend—was this some kind of writing used by Mechanical Beasts?
His own Soul Crystals continued to dissipate outward while it was this Mechanical Beast that was absorbing them.
Watching the screen filled with various indicators, Lu Ziye understood one thing: as the numerous Soul Crystals were absorbed by the Mechanical Beast, a progress bar was gradually filling up. Judging by the length of that bar, it was almost complete.
However, the growth of this bar was exceedingly slow, indicating that the amount of Soul Crystals the Mechanical Beast needed to absorb was alarmingly high.
