In the grand hall, the source of nourishment for the Soul Crystal was not just Lu Ziye, but also thousands of Energy Cores stripped from Human Mechs, all neatly arranged and ready for this Mechanical Beast to absorb wildly. Alongside the Human Mechs, there were also Metal Wreckages of Mechanical Beasts, their Energy Cores being consumed with equal fervor.

To resurrect these Ancient mechs required immense resources; relying solely on the Energy Cores provided by the Mechanical Beasts was far from sufficient. The growth of a Mechanical Beast's Energy Core depended on continuously consuming various minerals within its domain, evolving and leveling up over time.
Such a pace could not meet resurrection demands. Just looking at this Ancient Mechanical Beast before him, one could tell it had been absorbing energy here for an extended period without yet reviving. The Mechanical Beasts could easily breach humanity's Lan Xing defenses, but Lan Xing held no value for them. The food, oil, steel, and electricity that were core resources for humans were mere garbage to the Mechanical Beasts; they only needed Energy Cores and Soul Crystals.
In a sense, Energy Cores were akin to Soul Crystals; Soul Crystals could potentially be converted into mech energy through some means—though humanity had yet to master this technology, and the Mechanical Beasts would never disclose it; it was their core secret.
Thus, they intentionally revealed Energy Core technology to humanity, ushering in the era of mechs. Fundamentally speaking, Human Mechs and Mechanical Beasts shared a common technological lineage. The Mechanical Beasts maintained warfare at humanity's extreme limits, ensuring that humans could neither be exterminated nor achieve victory.
Their goal was for humanity on Quan Lan Star to utilize Lan Xing's resources to manufacture mechs, transforming useless resources into vital energy sources for them. Damn it! They treated humans like fools—truly despicable.
Lu Ziye speculated that once these Ancient Mechanical Beasts were revived, they would enter a certain area through these Star Gates. What was their purpose in resurrecting such powerful Ancient-Class Mechanical Beasts? Was it merely to grow stronger?
