"Mechanical Pioneer?" Lu Ziye thought to himself, impressed by the name.

Faced with the Mechanical Pioneer, Lu Ziye had many questions. "What do you want from me? Is there anything for humans and Mechanical Beasts to discuss besides war?" he retorted, not believing there was any common ground between them.
The Mechanical Pioneer smiled slightly and gestured into the air, causing images to unfold before them. "Thousands of years ago, we were just like you. We had our own homes and nations, and our aspirations reached for the stars and the sea. The only difference is that we are Mechanical Life and you are carbon-based life forms; in every other aspect, we are almost the same."
"We don't raise others," Lu Ziye countered.
"Is that so? That's because your thoughts were shaped after we raised you. Didn't your livestock industry also involve raising other beings? When you extract resources from Resource Stars in outer space, if you encounter native life forms stronger than you, wouldn't you conquer them? Essentially, we are all the same; it's just that our mechanical race was stronger than yours before and had more choices," the Mechanical Pioneer said calmly.
"So you treat Lan Xing as a farm, aiming to extract value from humanity. Is there really any need for negotiation between us? Either we die in this war or we rise up and kill you," Lu Ziye's words grew more intense.
"That was indeed the case in the past, but perhaps now we can cooperate?"
"Cooperate?" Lu Ziye scoffed.
"Have you ever considered that our mechanical race is also a subject of captivity? A higher-dimensional race has confined us here. We have fought against them for thousands of years; all Ancient Mechanical Beasts have perished, and the new generation of Mechanical Beasts has been stripped of their ability to construct Star Gates. We cannot escape their control until we discovered Lan Xing and thought of a way to accumulate Soul Crystals through humanity to revive the Ancient-Class Mechanical Beasts. You already know what happened next; your appearance caught us off guard. Your strength is unprecedented, and even I cannot see your limits. Therefore, I wish to cooperate with you!"
The Mechanical Pioneer spoke earnestly while Lu Ziye remained silent, listening without responding.
"I know you have concerns, and I understand that humanity harbors hatred towards us. My intention in finding you is to seek a way out for both humanity and the Mechanical Beasts. To be frank with you, beneath the Black Zone lies an end—neither Mechanical Beasts nor humans can escape the control of that terrifying race. Previously, we endured their enslavement; if we perish, then Lan Xing will be next," the Mechanical Pioneer murmured.
"An end?" Lu Ziye did not understand.
"Yes, an end. The place you call the Black Zone connects to what we refer to as the Desolate Land. We Mechanical Beasts have been trapped in this Desolate Land for thousands of years. Years ago, we began aiding humanity to enhance our strength with the goal of building a Star Gate to escape; however, we have failed each time. Every assault on the Desolate Land resulted in heavy casualties for us while allowing them to harvest vast amounts of Mechanical Beast Soul Crystals. They have subjected us to extreme humiliation; every riot in the Black Zone you've witnessed is merely a slaughter directed at us. We can only frantically escape back into the Black Zone after each attempt at breaching the Desolate Land. We've tried countless times without success. There is some good news though: we've opened a buffer zone between the Desolate Land and Black Zone where you can witness their might."
"Buffer Zone?"
"Want to take a look? Rest assured, if I intended harm against humanity, I wouldn't waste my breath here; you can go along with your kind."
Lu Ziye pondered for a moment: What exactly are the enemies in that area? How strong are they?
"We call them Jinti; they are a type of Mechanical Life that surpasses us in every aspect of strength. As for their power level, these Jinti in the Buffer Zone should be classified by your human standards as at least level three or four. You can imagine how powerful the Jinti in the Desolate Land must be."
"Level?" Lu Ziye was somewhat surprised but ultimately agreed to the Mechanical Pioneer’s proposal.
It was something he would have to face sooner or later; there was no escaping it.
"You bring my companions back, and I will discuss matters with them. Once we have results, I will come find you in the Black Zone."
"Deal! Welcome to the team. I believe that one day we can break free from Jinti's rule."
Lu Ziye nodded slightly, but in his heart, he thought: One day, I will kill all of you!
At the Red Zone Command Center, Xiao Ming and the others were teleported back by the Mechanical Pioneer and communicated with Lu Ziye.

After concluding his conversation with Xiao Ming, Lu Ziye set off alone for the Black Zone, accompanied by several Elites from the Dragon Rising Legion.
Beneath the Black Zone Abyss lay an endless expanse of ruins, filled with mechanical Metal Wreckage. This was humanity's first time reaching such depths into the abyss.
The abyss was eerily quiet. The surrounding Mechanical Beasts merely observed the human visitors without any signs of aggression, leaving both sides feeling uneasy. After all, they had always met with hostility in the past.
"You've arrived! Are you ready? I will take you into a brand new world." The voice of the Mechanical Pioneer echoed in the darkness.
"Lead the way!" Lu Ziye replied fearlessly, feeling unprecedented strength within himself.
