What he thought about now was to make himself stronger, to survive in this world, and to seek the truth about himself. He always felt that he was not truly himself. He had once consulted Old Lu about this issue, but Old Lu could not provide a definitive answer. He merely speculated that he might have lived in a large family before, which gave him a broader perspective than an ordinary child, making him appear more mature. Of course, there was another possibility: he could be the reincarnation of some ancient monster. The so-called reincarnation meant that a cultivator attempted to break through to a higher Realm but failed, causing them to fall into reincarnation and start their cultivation anew. This process sounded like cheating—if one was dissatisfied with their life, they could simply kill themselves and relive it. As for what Realm one needed to reach in order to perform such a maneuver, Old Lu did not tell him. 0

"Mo, regardless of which situation your background belongs to, you need to understand that knowing too much can be detrimental. Once you go out, others might capture you as a little monster for study. Such things happen frequently; many are interested in the reincarnation of ancient monsters. It’s like a palace filled with countless tomes of knowledge they dream of obtaining." 0

"Will you capture me too?" 0

"Aren't you already in Old Man's hands?" 0

"Are you planning to study me slowly?" 0

"Old Man is carefree and has no time for that. To Old Man, nothing is more important than wine. With wine in hand, the world is..." 0

"Mo, you have completed Refining Body now, but this is just the beginning. Don't get cocky; talking without action is all false bravado. Many talented individuals nurtured by large families and sects possess things that most people wouldn't dare to imagine using. Yet when they are unleashed, they still can't defeat what they see as mere country bumpkins..." At this point, Old Lu's eyes were filled with disdain. 0

"Are you one of those country bumpkins in their eyes?" 0

"Aren't they still the ones I beat into submission? Hey! How do you talk to Old Man like that? Today I'll teach you how to be a respectful child..." 0

Mo Wen got his wish and was educated thoroughly, hanging from a tree branch for an entire night. 0

"Starting today, you need to learn how to fight. I didn't let you before mainly because I was afraid you'd get too proud; now it's time..." Old Lu took Mo Wen down from the crooked Tree. 0

Mo Wen stretched his limbs; having completed Refining Body, he was now in the consolidation stage. Hanging from the Tree all night was no problem for him and even had unexpected benefits. 0

"Today marks your first battle," Old Lu said as he led Mo Wen to Dahe Gourd Mouth. 0

"Old Lu, why are we here? Are you going to make me fish?" 0

"Do you see that gap?" Following Old Lu's finger, he noticed a small gap by Gourd Mouth, about two yards wide. Water flowed through it, forming a small tributary with a drop of around twenty yards between upstream and downstream. The water cascaded down into a pool below, creating many such spots that formed a row of waterfalls. 0

"I see it." 0

"You go stand on that stone in the middle of the pool. You can end when you can stand steadily right in the center," Old Lu pointed at the pool where a large stone sat directly beneath the falling water. 0

"..." Mo Wen looked at the old man. 0

"Do you want to become stronger?" 0

"I do." 0

"Then go." 0
