"The Life and Death Reversal Disk," a voice suddenly boomed. We turned around to see Li Yang standing at the doorway, having appeared there without us noticing. Your father stole it from a secret military warehouse years ago.
"What are you doing here—"
"No time to explain," he interrupted me. "Now! Quickly drop your blood on the jade."
"Why my blood?"
"Because you inherited your father's bloodline," he said urgently. "Only blood of the same lineage can activate the Reversal Disk."
Seconds were ticking away.
I bit my finger, allowing the blood to drip onto the jade stone. Surprisingly, the blood did not flow away; instead, it was absorbed by the jade.
In an instant, the disk began to rotate, emitting a low hum. The runes in the basement lit up, forming a complete pattern.
"Step back!" Li Yang shouted.
A blinding beam of light shot out from the center of the disk, piercing through the ceiling and reaching for the sky. At the same time, the runic array on the ground erupted in dazzling brilliance.
The hour had come.
The entire Changling Village fell into a profound silence. All runes and traces of energy vanished. Even the Nakamura Monster froze in mid-air, motionless.
Then I witnessed a shocking scene: time began to reverse.
This was not an ordinary reversal of time; it was an inversion of energy. All runes reignited, but in completely opposite directions. The energy that had been rotating counterclockwise transformed into a clockwise motion, perfectly aligning with the principles of creation.
"It worked," Li Yang said. "Your father had already predicted this day would come. This reversal device was prepared for tonight."
But why—
Before he could finish his sentence, the Nakamura Monster let out a thunderous roar: "Do you think this can stop the ritual? Foolish! This is exactly what I want!"
We watched in terror as the copper box in his hand opened, unleashing a blood-red beam that shot skyward. The two forces collided violently in mid-air.
Amidst that dazzling light, a massive vortex began to form.
