Three of the twelve points had been activated. Jiang Zhendong pointed to the world map, indicating Changling Village in China, Siberia in Russia, and Mount Fuji in Japan.
In the hospital's conference room, all the monitors were updating global surveillance data in real-time. Through satellite images, we could see that the activated points exhibited similar energy characteristics: a vast underground space with a pyramid-shaped structure at its center.
"Looking at the direction of the energy diffusion," Honda Miho said, "it seems they are forming some kind of network."
Through my golden eyes, I could see more: there was a connection between these energy points, much like a computer network. The flowing runes represented the data stream of this network.
"I can understand them," I said. "This is an awakening program. Each activated point releases specific signals to seek out individuals carrying corresponding genes."
"Like a virus looking for a host?" Zhou Jing asked.
"No, it's more like a key searching for a lock." I tried to explain the information flooding my mind; ancient civilizations had left dormant sequences within human genes, and only specific keys could activate them.
"And somehow the military discovered this secret," Li Yang interjected, "so they've been searching for people with special blood types to preemptively activate this program."
Suddenly, the monitoring system issued an alarm. The fourth point had been activated in the Amazon rainforest of South America. Satellite images showed a pyramid buried within the jungle emitting an eerie glow.
"This isn't right," I said, staring at the data stream. The activation speed was too fast. According to the program settings, there should be at least an hour's interval between activations.
"Someone is accelerating this process," Li Yang said, "and I think I know who."
He opened a confidential file containing old photographs. The images showed that before Japan's surrender, the military had dispatched twelve special operations teams to various locations around the world.
"They already knew the locations of these points back then," Li Yang said, "and I suspect they set up some kind of device at each site."
"Accelerators," I suddenly realized. Recognizing the runes in the photographs, I understood that they were energy amplification devices capable of forcibly activating dormant sequences.
At that moment, I felt the viral program within me become agitated. A new piece of information surfaced in my mind: these accelerators would not only speed up the activation process but also cause genetic mutations.
"We must stop them," I said, "or thousands will die from genetic chaos."
"How do we find these accelerators?" Zhou Jing asked. "They could be hidden anywhere."
I closed my eyes and let the runes flow through my mind. Gradually, a pattern became clear.
"In hospitals," I said, "there is a special hospital near each activation point. The military has established secret facilities underground under their cover."
Jiang Zhendong immediately pulled up satellite images and began comparing architectural features of various hospitals. Quickly, an astonishing discovery emerged: these hospitals had identical layouts as if copied from the same blueprint.
"Where's the next activation point?" Honda Miho asked.
I sensed the direction of the data stream within me: Cairo. There was an international hospital built there.
Before I could finish speaking, another wave of intense headache struck me. This flashback was clearer: I saw a military action team installing some kind of equipment underground in a hospital. Most disturbingly, the leader wore a bronze mask that was all too familiar to me.
That is my grandfather's mask, Li Yang said. It seems that all of this was a meticulously planned scheme that took decades to execute.
