The sound of explosions grew closer. Through the building's neural network, we could sense every movement of the intruders. Worse still, they seemed to be well aware of the structure here, deliberately severing certain critical energy pathways.
"They want to incapacitate the building's self-defense system," Li Yang said, observing their route.
Through the surveillance footage, we saw Sato's team divided into three groups, each precisely targeting specific nodes. This was clearly not a spontaneous action but a meticulously planned raid.
"Did you notice? Look at their formations," I pointed out. "They align perfectly with the life tree matrix!"
Zhou Jing remarked, "They are reverse-activating some kind of program."
At that moment, an artificial intelligence voice chimed in: "Warning: The system is under attack. Malicious programs are being implanted."
"What does that mean?" I asked.
"They're trying to forcibly activate a rapid progression sequence," Stevens explained. "It's the path we rejected during the trial!"
Suddenly, I noticed the Taiji pattern on the pyramid device beginning to change color. The balanced black and white were gradually being replaced by a blood-red hue.
"We must stop them immediately," I said, but how?
Just then, a prompt from the viral program within me appeared. Through those data streams, I saw a complete energy network diagram of the building. If we considered it as a gigantic life form, then the points under attack were akin to its acupoints.
"Wait," a thought struck me. "If this is a complete life system, it must adhere to the five elements' mutual restraint principles!"

"We can use the five elements to re-activate these nodes." I quickly drew a pattern on the ground, showing the sequence of Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth.
"Got it!" Li Yang exclaimed. "We'll act first; each person will be responsible for one Direction. Through viral program resonance, we can reawaken the severed energy."
At that moment, a loud crash echoed through the air. Sato's team had breached the final line of defense and was advancing toward the hall.
"You all go activate your nodes," I instructed. "I'll stay here to complete the activation."
Everyone moved quickly into action. I stood before the pyramid device and took out fragments of a mask. Through special vision, I could see that the symbols on the fragments were resonating with the Taiji pattern.
"You think this will stop us?" Sato's voice came from behind me.
I turned around to find him and several others had already entered the hall. But what shocked me most was that each of them wore a specially crafted mask—a modern replica of a bronze mask enhanced by high-tech means to amplify certain functions.
"Don't get me wrong," Sato said. "We're not here to destroy; we're here to progress. Humanity has stumbled on this planet for too long; it's time to embrace true advancement."
"By forcibly activating genes that aren't ready?" I retorted. "Haven't you seen the warnings in the memory projections?"
"Warnings? That's just an excuse for cowards." He raised his gun. "Hand over those fragments, or else—"
At that moment, the entire building suddenly shook. I felt that others had successfully activated their respective nodes. The energy network was reconnecting, forming a complete cycle.
"Now!" I shouted.
At that moment, the viral programs within all the carriers erupted. Energy flowed between the five Directions, ultimately converging on the central pyramid device. Seizing the opportunity, I inserted the fragment into the vacant space of the Tai Chi diagram. Instantly, a blinding beam of light shot up from the top of the device.
