In the center of the hall, the pyramid device began to project a brand new three-dimensional star map. This was not an ordinary starry sky image, but a cosmic map marked with countless bright footprints of civilizations.
"Each of these light points," the artificial intelligence explained, "represents a civilization that once existed or is currently developing. The connections between them illustrate their trajectories."
Through a special vision, I could see that these trajectories exhibited astonishing similarities: every civilization would face the same choice at a certain stage of development—whether to pursue a rapid and dangerous leap or to opt for stable and gradual advancement.
"So, you are not the first civilization to build such a system?" I asked.
"No," the artificial intelligence replied. "Before us, countless civilizations have faced the same dilemma. Some, like us, made mistakes; others found balance. Interestingly, every civilization that chose balance built similar witnessing systems."
It pointed to a specific area on the star map: these interconnected green light points represented a network of civilizations. They were linked through similar systems, collectively maintaining balance in the universe.
Earth was deep in thought.
"You are at a critical moment of entering this network," the artificial intelligence said, "but first, you must prove that you truly understand the path to advancement."
At that moment, I noticed a special marker at the center of the star map. It was a presence brighter than all the other light points, its trajectory forming a perfect spiral.
"That is the original civilization," the artificial intelligence said, "the creator of this network. They discovered an astonishing truth: the entire universe is like a colossal organism, and all civilizations are its cells. If one civilization goes out of control, it could affect the overall balance."
Suddenly, a strong resonance surged within me from the viral sequence. A stream of new information flooded my mind: this was not just a monitoring system; it was a vast immune network. When a civilization exhibited dangerous mutations, the entire network would react.
"So that's why the forces discovered those technologies," I pondered.
"It was the network that provided you with vaccines," the artificial intelligence explained, "but they misunderstood its purpose, thinking it was merely a tool for gaining power."
Suddenly, Zhou Jing pointed at the star map. "Look! The trajectory of Earth!"
We all saw it: Earth's trajectory was undergoing changes. The chaotic lines gradually formed patterns and began to converge towards those green light points.
"The choice has already been made," the artificial intelligence declared. "Now, it's time to activate the final sequence."
The top of the pyramid device opened up, and a brand new bronze mask slowly rose. But this mask was different from any we had seen before; its surface flowed as if it contained information from across the universe.
"This is a key," said the artificial intelligence, "that can unlock the gateway to the civilization network. However, to use it, one must be someone who truly understands the path of balance."
I gazed at that mask and suddenly realized: this was not an endpoint but a new beginning. Humanity was about to take a historic step into this cosmic family of civilizations.
But just then, I noticed some abnormal dark spots appearing at the edge of the star map. These were civilizations that had already gone out of control; they threatened universal balance like cancer cells.
"There is still a long way to go," said the artificial intelligence. "Are you ready?"
I looked at others; they all nodded. We knew this would be an unprecedented journey. And this time, we were not fighting against advancement; instead, we had to learn to dance with it.
The sky outside gradually brightened. The first ray of sunlight from the Antarctic pierced through the top of the building, landing on the mysterious mask. A new era was about to begin.
