In a cave, a Lava Beast had once made its home, but it was driven out and now lay nearby, observing the two humans who had taken over its dwelling. A month ago, an old man and a young child appeared at the entrance of its cave. The old man made the beast feel suffocated, but fortunately, after being beaten by the child under the old man's supervision, they did not kill it. Recently, it had been lingering in the vicinity, and the two humans paid it no mind. 0

Inside the Mountain Body, the cave twisted downward, with platforms at each level carved out by Old Lu. As the cave delved deeper into the earth, the temperature gradually increased. Mo Wen rose to head to the next platform, where the heat would be even more intense; this was the last platform that Old Lu had carved for him. 0

Sitting on the platform, Mo Wen felt as if he were a piece of meat roasting over a charcoal fire, with the surrounding high temperatures scorching him like flames. He experienced pain akin to being burned, yet there were no actual injuries on his body. This sensation of burning was not merely physical; it was primarily mental. The torment gnawed at him, making him feel on the verge of collapse. He wanted to scream but gritted his teeth and held on. According to Old Lu's instructions, he needed to remain there until he could no longer feel pain. Gradually, he adapted to this sensation; the pain in his mind lessened until he no longer sweated and felt no discomfort—he even began to feel somewhat comfortable. Noticing his changes, he realized his body had strengthened somewhat. As for Shen Hun's changes, they were not as pronounced; he still needed to continue training but would have to find another place. Now that he was close to the bottom of the cave, just below lay molten lava—he was not yet ready to withstand such extreme temperatures. If he descended further, it would not be Refining Spirit but rather a matter of risking his life. 0

On a high mountain in a forest where snow never melted at the peak, a child around nine years old continued to climb higher. After ascending for a while, he would sit down to meditate until his body and mind adapted to the biting cold before continuing upward. Finally, he reached the summit and sat down. The searing flames and piercing cold were indeed accurate descriptions; enduring physical pain was one thing, but enduring soul-stabbing agony was another. For a moment, he felt as if he were completely frozen, even his brain ceased to function. 0

Atop the snow-capped mountain, a humanoid ice block cracked from within and shattered outward, revealing a child sitting cross-legged on the ground. He stood up and stretched his limbs but did not descend immediately; instead, he stood at the peak admiring a view he had never seen before. The summit rose above the clouds; looking down revealed layers of clouds resembling a white ocean beneath him. In the distance, some mountain peaks emerged from the clouds while others showed only half their forms. The summit itself was obscured by even higher clouds; through gaps in the clouds below, he could see forests stretching out like a carpet into the distance. 0

“There will be plenty of opportunities to see this again; viewing from above is truly beautiful. Let’s go; it’s time to move on,” Old Lu said before Mo Wen could speak, grabbing him and heading down the mountain. 0

After some time spent together, Old Lu had taken him through nearly every Extreme Realm in the forest for divine training. With Old Lu around, this forest felt like their backyard. Of course, Old Lu also told him that once his Realm increased in level, he would find that what seemed like Extreme Realms now would feel as simple as sitting by a fire pit in front of a wooden cabin in the woods. 0
