As night fell, Seoul was enveloped in a haze of mesmerizing neon lights. A cool breeze stirred a few fallen leaves, swirling them around the empty streets. Park Bucheng stood before the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing down at the bustling city, his expression as cold as frost. He had just received news that Han Mi Na and Li Mingzhe of the Taiji Consortium would meet in secret tonight. What the hell was going on? One was a ruthless prosecutor, and the other a wealthy chaebol leader—how did they end up entangled together?
The ringing of the phone shattered the silence in the room. Park Bucheng picked it up, his tone somber. "Hello?"
"Boss, I found out that Han Mi Na and Li Mingzhe will meet in the presidential suite at Shilla Hotel tonight, specifically at nine o'clock," came the nervous voice of his informant on the other end.
"Shilla Hotel? Presidential suite? Quite a show they're putting on!" Park Bucheng sneered. "Keep watching them and report any movements immediately."
After hanging up, a glint of cold light flashed in Park Bucheng's eyes. Damn it, these two were colluding; it seemed they intended to join forces against the Tai Chi Gang. If they succeeded, all his previous efforts would be in vain. He absolutely could not let them have their way!
In the presidential suite of Shilla Hotel, Han Mi Na and Li Mingzhe sat facing each other.
"Prosecutor Han, I hope our cooperation will be pleasant," Li Mingzhe raised his glass of red wine, a phony smile plastered on his face.
"President Li, I hope so too," Han Mi Na gently swirled her wine glass, her eyes betraying a hint of barely concealed ambition.
"To our common goal, cheers!"
The two clinked their glasses, the crimson liquid rippling within like an impending storm of bloodshed.
At eight fifty-five, Park Bucheng donned a black stealth outfit and silently infiltrated Shilla Hotel. He was familiar with Seoul's layout, moving through it as if it were his own backyard. Utilizing his exceptional Tai Chi skills and Graceful Wave Steps, he effortlessly evaded layers of hotel security and arrived outside the presidential suite's window.
Inside the room, Han Mi Na and Li Mingzhe were discussing the details of their collaboration.
"Prosecutor Han, as long as you can provide sufficient evidence, I guarantee that the Tai Chi Gang will be completely finished," Li Mingzhe spoke with conviction.
"I have prepared the evidence, just waiting for President Li's strong support," Han Mi Na said with a slight smile at the corner of her mouth.
"Great! Once this is accomplished, I will definitely thank Prosecutor Han properly," Li Mingzhe replied.
The two exchanged smiles, as if they could already see the dawn of victory.
Just then, with a loud bang, the door was slammed open by a powerful force. Park Bucheng appeared before them like a ghost, a mocking smile on his face.
"You two seem to be having such a good time. Why didn't you invite me?"
Han Mi Na and Li Mingzhe's expressions changed drastically as they jumped to their feet.
"Park Bucheng! How dare you barge in here!" Han Mi Na shouted angrily.
"What? Are you scared?" Park Bucheng sneered. "You think I don't know that you're secretly trying to take down the Tai Chi Gang?"
Li Mingzhe's face darkened, a glint of murderous intent flashing in his eyes. "Park Bucheng, you're digging your own grave!"
"Who dies is still uncertain!" Park Bucheng said as he darted forward like a cheetah, lunging at Li Mingzhe.
The bodyguard beside Li Mingzhe rushed forward to block him but was quickly knocked to the ground by Park Bucheng's swift punches and kicks. His strikes were like the wind, lethal with every move, and in the blink of an eye, he had taken down all of Li Mingzhe's bodyguards.
Seeing this, Li Mingzhe turned pale with fear and began to retreat repeatedly.
"Don't... don't come any closer!"
Park Bucheng pressed forward, his gaze icy. "President Li, do you think money can let you do whatever you want?"
With a swift punch, he struck Li Mingzhe in the abdomen. Li Mingzhe let out a cry and collapsed to the ground, clutching his stomach in agony.
Seeing this, Han Mi Na immediately drew her handgun, aiming it at Park Bucheng. "Don't move! Otherwise, I'll shoot!"
Park Bucheng scoffed, his figure darting aside to evade the bullet. In a flash, he snatched the gun from Han Mi Na's hands and subdued her effortlessly.
"Prosecutor Han, do you think a mere gun can intimidate me?"
He pointed the gun at Han Mi Na's forehead, his eyes cold. "You better confess honestly—what conspiracy are you plotting?"
Han Mi Na trembled in fear, unable to speak.
With a cold laugh, Park Bucheng tossed the gun to the ground and turned to leave.
"I'll let you off this time. If you dare to play tricks again, I won't be so merciful!"
His figure vanished into the night, leaving Han Mi Na and Li Mingzhe with terrified expressions.
Realizing they had been toyed with by Park Bucheng, Han Mi Na and Li Mingzhe were filled with rage and decided to intensify their efforts to hunt him down. Meanwhile, Park Bucheng seized this opportunity to further consolidate his power, preparing for future confrontations with the chaebols and the prosecutor's office.
