Park Bucheng stood before the map in the basement, his gaze sharp as a blade.
After hanging up the phone, he quickly contemplated the deeper meaning behind Kim Tae-wook's words.
"The real storm is yet to come?"
This phrase pierced his heart like a venomous thorn.
He turned to the documents on the table, his fingers lightly tapping on the marked points on the map, a cold smile curling at the corners of his lips. "Since they want to play, I’ll play with them to the end."
Half an hour later, in the basement of an abandoned farm, an elite team had gathered.
Li Meili held a laptop, her fingers flying over the keyboard. "According to the information from our informant, the Gang Stronghold is hidden in the underground second level of an abandoned factory on the outskirts. The Guards are densely distributed, with three layers of patrols on the perimeter and two SWAT teams stationed in the core area."
Park Ji Ming grinned. "SWAT? These guys really think too highly of themselves."
Kim Tae Hee checked her sniper rifle, her gaze steady. "Don't be careless. One misstep in this operation and we could be wiped out."
Zhao Xianzhe fiddled with the detonator wires, excitement written all over his face. "Don't worry, once I make my move, that place will turn into ruins in no time."
Park Bucheng scanned everyone, his voice calm and measured. "Remember, this operation has only two objectives—destroy the Gang Stronghold and retrieve the confidential documents. Ignore any unrelated personnel and don’t get into unnecessary fights."
He paused and looked at Li Meili. "You’ll be in charge of intelligence support and monitoring; Ji Ming and Xianzhe will clear the outer Guards; Tae Hee will provide sniper cover; I’ll go with Meili into the core area to steal the documents."
Everyone responded in unison.
As night fell, the team silently infiltrated the abandoned factory.
The factory was silent, with only the occasional sound of the wind and rustling leaves breaking the stillness.
Park Bucheng led the team over the wall from the East Side, skillfully avoiding the first layer of patrols under Li Meili's guidance.
"Two Guards ahead, ten meters," Li Meili whispered.
Park Ji Ming and Zhao Xianzhe exchanged glances, a wicked grin spreading across their faces.
Zhao Xianzhe drew his dagger from his waist and approached the targets like a ghost. His movements were lightning-fast; before the two Guards could react, they collapsed into a pool of blood.
Park Ji Ming took down another group of patrolling officers with his fists. When his punch landed on one’s chest, it sounded like bones cracking, sending chills down anyone's spine.
"All done," Zhao Xianzhe wiped the blood from his dagger. "The rest is up to you."
Kim Tae Hee climbed up an abandoned tower outside the factory, setting up her sniper rifle aimed at the entrance to the core area. "I'm ready; I'll cover you."
Park Bucheng and Li Meili quickly moved through the outer area, weaving effortlessly through narrow passages. Park Bucheng executed Graceful Wave Steps, each step precise as he evaded all cameras and infrared sensors like a phantom.
Li Meili followed closely behind, her eyes wide in amazement. "Boss, your agility is insane!"
Park Bucheng turned back with a squint and a smile. "Ever heard of COS Monk?"
As they reached the entrance to the core area, they suddenly heard hurried footsteps. Moments later, a fully armed SWAT team burst out, surrounding them completely.
"Stop! Raise your hands!" shouted the leader of the SWAT team.
Li Meili's expression changed slightly as she instinctively took a step back. "Boss, we've been discovered!"
Park Bucheng remained calm, slowly raising his hands before suddenly pushing off the ground, charging toward the nearest SWAT officer like an arrow released from a bow.
With the Six Meridians Divine Sword technique, a surge of energy shot from his fingertips, accurately striking the weapon in the officer's hands. The firearm shattered instantly under the force.
Seeing this, the other SWAT officers opened fire, but Park Bucheng employed Graceful Wave Steps, weaving effortlessly through the hail of bullets. Each step allowed him to dodge the projectiles, moving with an elegance that was both graceful and deadly.
"What the hell is this?" one SWAT officer shouted in terror. "Is he a monster?"
Park Bucheng let out a cold laugh and unleashed the Six Meridians Divine Sword once more. A series of energy blasts shot from his fingertips, taking down the remaining SWAT officers one by one. Each strike was precise; either shattering their weapons or hitting vital points, rendering them incapable of fighting back.
In less than a minute, the entire SWAT team lay defeated, with no survivors.
Li Meili stared in shock at the scene. "Boss, your skills are just too insane!"
Park Bucheng patted her shoulder. "Let's go; there are more important matters awaiting us."
The two entered the core area and quickly located the confidential documents. However, just as they were about to leave, a familiar voice suddenly echoed through the room.
"I never expected you would dare to come here."
The voice was cold and dangerous—it was Han Mi Na!
Behind her stood Choi Ji-ho and several elite Guards, blocking their exit completely.
Han Mi Na sneered at Park Bucheng. "Did you really think a ragtag group like yours could shake the Prosecutor's Office? What a delusion!"
Choi Ji-ho's face darkened as he drew a handgun from his waist, aiming it at Park Bucheng. "Hand over the documents, or you'll find yourself on a dead end!"
The atmosphere instantly became tense, as if the air had solidified.
Li Meili whispered, "Boss, what do we do now?"
Park Bucheng narrowed his eyes, glancing at Han Mi Na and Choi Ji-ho, a meaningful smile curling at the corners of his mouth. "What do we do? Of course, we fight back."
As soon as he finished speaking, he suddenly exerted his strength and launched himself toward the enemy using Graceful Wave Steps! At the same time, he struck with both palms, unleashing Dragon Subduing Eighteen Palms, which swept through the entire room like an avalanche!
Han Mi Na and Choi Ji-ho barely had time to react before they were knocked back by the force of his palms. The elite Guards were directly sent flying, crashing against the walls and losing consciousness.
"Damn it, what kind of monster is this guy!" Choi Ji-ho struggled to get up, but before he could steady himself, Park Bucheng hit him in the knee with a Six Meridians Divine Sword attack, causing him to collapse on the ground!
Seeing the situation turn dire, Han Mi Na turned to flee but was stopped by Li Meili, who held a dagger to her throat. "Trying to run? It's too late!"
The room fell silent, leaving only the heavy breathing of Han Mi Na and Choi Ji-ho amidst the chaos.
Park Bucheng approached Han Mi Na, kicking her dropped handgun aside before leaning in close to whisper in her ear, "Tell your master this is just the beginning. They will pay a much greater price next."
With that, he turned and left, quickly regrouping with his team to evacuate the scene. Just as they were leaving, Zhao Xianzhe pressed the detonator, and a violent explosion reduced the entire Gang Stronghold to ashes!
In the night, the team drove away in their car, leaving behind a sky illuminated by flames and Han Mi Na's furious yet powerless roar…
