Hearing the other person's voice, Su Che felt a sense of confusion and heightened vigilance, stepping back a few paces.
"Your Highness the Wise King, what is the purpose of all this fuss?"
Mu Tingxiu smiled and took a few steps closer, prompting Su Che to retreat further. Seeing this, Mu Tingxiu simply stood his ground.
"A Che, do you really avoid me like I’m a venomous snake? What? Do you think I would harm you?"
Su Che did not respond but instead asked, "Is Aunt Xiang from the Fragrant Pavilion someone of yours? You mentioned today that there’s a way to help the Su Family. If you have no intention of sharing it, then I shall take my leave."
With that, he turned to walk away. Mu Tingxiu hurriedly tried to stop him but then reconsidered and said, "Do you know where Mu Junze has been these past few days?"
"I do not."
"Of course, how would he let you know?"
"What have you done to him?!"
"I wouldn’t dare to do anything to him. I only felt heartbroken upon hearing the news and thought it unfair for you. How could he act in such a way after all you've done for him? It truly infuriates me!"
Mu Tingxiu spoke with righteous indignation, but Su Che remained unfazed.
"Since Your Highness is unwilling to speak about that, let’s discuss matters concerning the Su Family. This situation surely involves your influence; what kind of deal do you want to make in order to spare the Su Family?"
Upon hearing this, Mu Tingxiu feigned sorrow, placing one hand over his chest while pointing at Su Che with the other.
"Is that how you see me? I have no grievances with you; why would I target the Su Family? If I truly had a hand in this, why would I invite you here to help find a solution?"
"It seems your good brother has said quite a bit about me, leading you to misunderstand my intentions. Do you know that I hold you in high regard..."
"Your Highness! We are not children anymore; let’s speak plainly. What conditions must be met for you to spare the Su Family?"
Su Che quickly interrupted Mu Tingxiu's words. He just wanted to escape this place as soon as possible and regretted letting himself be caught up in this situation. Had he known it was him, he would never have come.
Now that Xu Mu was under his command, it was likely this idea came from Xu Mu as well; if he didn’t mention it, he could pretend he didn’t know anything. Setting Xu Mu aside, there was no way the Su Family could be in trouble without the Worthy Prince's involvement; if there was something he wanted in return, he might consider making a deal with him.
Though aware that his terms would not be simple, he had come this far and could only brace himself and try; otherwise, he feared he wouldn’t be allowed to leave easily.
Seeing that Su Che wasn’t falling for his act anymore, Mu Tingxiu stopped pretending and walked over to the hot spring pool, stepping in and relaxing comfortably while speaking softly.
“A Che, you’ve come so far, how can we talk? This prince does not wish to shout at you like this; if others were to hear…”
Su Che hesitated but stepped a little closer. Mu Tingxiu glanced at him with a slight smirk.
“The conditions are simple: either you marry me and become my princess, or the Su Family stands against me, as you know.”
In the hot spring, there was a wooden tray with some fruit on it. Mu Tingxiu pretended to casually eat the fruit while observing Su Che’s every move.
Su Che was taken aback at first, his face flushing slightly with anger. “Your Highness, please have some dignity! Don’t make such jokes!”
As soon as he spoke, he suddenly felt weak. He looked at Mu Tingxiu and noticed the smile at the corner of his mouth, realizing something was off, but it was too late.
Mu Tingxiu rose from the water and slowly approached. In his retreat, Su Che unfortunately fell down. The atmosphere in the room, combined with Su Che’s flushed face and his fallen posture, created a scene that stirred Mu Tingxiu’s impulses.
Just a glimpse of a small fragment of bone revealed by the fall made it difficult for Mu Tingxiu to control himself. He thought to himself how remarkable this little thing was. But then he recalled that such a pure person had already been tainted by Xu Mu and Mu Junze before he could even touch her; it made him furious. How could such a pure lotus flower be defiled by them? Truly, heaven was blind.
Fortunately, this lotus flower would soon belong to him. Mu Tingxiu moved closer, admiring him carefully, as if even his clothes held an immense allure that made him reluctant to overlook any detail.
“A joke? Ha! Do you know how tempting you are? From the moment I first saw you, I was captivated. What is so great about Mu Junze? What do I lack compared to him?! Rest assured, if you follow me, I will give you everything and treat you well; I will never let you suffer any grievances. Even if it means plucking the stars from the sky for you, I would do it.”
His hand gently brushed against Su Che’s waist as he loosened his clothing belt. Su Che furrowed his brow tightly, gritting his teeth and summoning all his strength to say, “Let go of me! A dignified Worthy Prince using such despicable means to humiliate your sister-in-law—are you not afraid of being ridiculed?! Are you not afraid of A Je coming back to settle scores with you?!”
Mu Tingxiu let out a cold laugh. “Ridiculed? Who dares to ridicule?! If anyone does, I will kill them without hesitation; rest assured, they will not disturb you with their chatter. As for Mu Junze—ha! Over the years, have I ever feared him? As long as you are willing, I fear nothing.”
Saying this, he leaned in to kiss Su Che’s red lips. Su Che panicked and quickly used the last of his strength to shoot a Signal Arrow, but no one came in response.
Mu Tingxiu glanced at the Signal Arrow in Su Che’s hand and snatched it away before picking him up and bringing him to the window, setting Su Che down beside it.
Due to his weakness, Su Che leaned entirely against Mu Tingxiu. The latter slightly leaned out with Su Che in his arms while holding him securely around the waist to prevent him from falling. With his other hand—almost as if showing off—he fired off two more shots from the Signal Arrow into the sky before bringing Su Che close to his ear and speaking in a low, seductive voice.
“Look, I’ll help you shoot a few more; they need to be high enough for people to see them. This way, you can give up on those futile hopes and focus on what comes next with me. You wouldn’t still be expecting Mu Junze and those useless remnants he left behind to save you, would you?”
“Or should I say, do you think that what he, Mu Junze, has is something this prince lacks? What he can give, I can not only match but exceed by several times. So, how about it? Will you submit to this prince now?”
As he spoke, his large hand brushed against the red bean that stood erect due to the drug, causing Su Che to grit his teeth and let out a muffled groan, his body trembling involuntarily.
He was already quite sensitive by nature, and with the enhancement of the drug, Su Che had exerted all his strength to endure.
Seeing Su Che’s restrained demeanor, Mu Tingxiu seemed to derive immense satisfaction.
“If you touch me, A Je will never let you go!”
Hearing Su Che's words, Mu Tingxiu burst into laughter.
“Never let me go? He has long since given up on that! So what? When the Su Family faces difficulties, he abandons you and leaves alone. How pitiful that you naively think he cares for you! He forsook you first; only this prince has treated you sincerely. In these past few days, have you seen him show his face even once?”
Su Che furrowed his brows in disbelief. As Mu Tingxiu drew closer, he bit down hard on his shoulder and cursed.
“You scoundrel! All you do is resort to underhanded tricks. Do you think This Palace would believe you?!”
Mu Tingxiu winced in pain but did not release Su Che; instead, he pulled him even tighter into his embrace.
