"My abilities are not something you need to experience firsthand. You should ask Li Fushi; he will provide you with the answers," Jiang Chen said calmly. Since Li Fushi was looking for him, he must be aware of his cultivation level.
Upon hearing Jiang Chen's words, Wu Shiding, who had been gathering his momentum, suddenly faltered.
"What do you mean? Do you know Elder Li?" Wu Shiding asked, astonished.
"Weren't you just saying that Li Fushi is also here? Let him come and see me. He should know who I am," Jiang Chen replied. He did not claim to know him personally; after all, many had recognized him at the Songnan Martial Arts Tournament, but he could not possibly know them all.
Seeing Jiang Chen's demeanor, Wu Shiding hesitated. Although he thought Jiang Chen was putting on an act, it didn't seem like it.
"Elder Li is not someone you can just meet whenever you want. Who exactly are you?" Wu Shiding pressed again.
"I am the person Li Fushi is looking for," Jiang Chen stated.
There was no need for Jiang Chen to take action when a few words could resolve the matter.
Wu Shiding was taken aback and looked at Jiang Chen again, disbelief written all over his face. Was Jiang Chen really the esteemed senior that Li Fushi sought?
Though Wu Shiding found it hard to believe, this was a serious matter. He hesitated, wondering if he should confirm with Li Fushi.
"Shiding, don't listen to this kid's nonsense. He's just stalling for time. With his appearance, how could he possibly be the esteemed one Elder Li mentioned? Have you ever seen a master look like him?" Chen Jie Li interjected sternly.
Wu Shiding fixed his gaze on Jiang Chen, who remained calm and composed. After a few seconds of eye contact, Wu Shiding grew increasingly suspicious. If Jiang Chen was pretending, then his mental fortitude was astonishing.
"Shiding, there's no need for you to deal with this kid; I'll handle it," Chen Jie Li said as he saw Wu Shiding hesitating.
Wu Shiding glanced at Chen Jie Li but said nothing, neither nodding nor stopping him—he tacitly agreed.
Chen Jie Li had long been dissatisfied with Jiang Chen and Lin Yin as a master-student duo. Now seeing Jiang Chen feign calmness while almost intimidating Wu Shiding only fueled his frustration. He stepped forward, eager to teach Jiang Chen a lesson.
Without hesitation, Chen Jie Li charged at Jiang Chen. As a Master of Transformation, he was no pushover; he shattered the ground beneath him and leaped into the air like a fierce tiger, exuding an intimidating aura.
However, Jiang Chen didn’t even spare him a glance. With a casual wave of his hand, an invisible force swept through the air. In that instant, Chen Jie Li felt dizzy and unsteady before being sent flying by this force, crashing into the wall at the edge of the Martial Arts Hall over a hundred meters away.
"Grandpa!" Chen Ran cried out in alarm as she rushed over to check on him.
The onlookers stood frozen in shock, some utterly dumbfounded.
Chen Jie Li was a genuine Master of Transformation; how could he be so easily defeated? With just a casual wave from Jiang Chen, he had been sent flying—this was simply unbelievable.
At this point, Wu Shiding had no doubts left. He thought to himself that Chen Jie Li was indeed a good brother for testing Jiang Chen's strength with his own body.
Though he still had questions about Jiang Chen, those would be resolved once Li Fushi arrived.
"I will send someone to bring Elder Li here right away," Wu Shiding said before instructing Mu Deng to go to the hotel and fetch Li Fushi.
At his age, although he was a Master of Transformation, that fall nearly cost Chen Jie Li half of his life. It was only thanks to Wu Shiding personally retrieving the Shen Xue Men elixir that Chen Jie Li was able to survive.
