"You're not allowed to play the lead role, nor the second female lead," Jiang Chen said.
"Heh, you don't have the qualifications to dictate what roles my girlfriend can take. Kneel and apologize to her, and I might let this slide," Yun Gang replied coldly.
"What if I refuse to apologize?" Jiang Chen asked with a faint smile.
"You have no choice," Yun Gang sneered, giving a knowing glance to the middle-aged man beside him. The man understood and strode toward Jiang Chen.
The middle-aged man approached Jiang Chen and slammed his palm on the table, causing it to collapse right in front of him.
"Kid, my patience is limited. Don't seek death," the middle-aged man said, glaring at Jiang Chen with a menacing look.
Director Zhang and the others were taken aback by this scene, shocked and worried. After all, Jiang Chen was the financier of this film; anything happening to him would be disastrous.
"Yun Gang, let's talk this out. Mr. Jiang is a cultured person; you can't treat him like this. His background is not simple either," Director Zhang quickly advised.
"Who cares about his background? In front of my family, he’s nothing," Yun Gang said arrogantly, exuding an air of superiority.
Director Zhang felt helpless. He knew Yun Gang's temperament; if Jiang Chen softened his stance, there might be room for negotiation. But if Jiang Chen remained firm, it would lead to a hard confrontation, which would benefit neither party.
Seeing that he couldn't persuade Yun Gang, Director Zhang decided to shift his focus and try to reason with Jiang Chen instead.
However, just as he was about to speak, something suddenly flew out of nowhere, arcing through the air before crashing through the window glass and disappearing from sight.
Director Zhang saw clearly that it was Yun Gang's bodyguard who had just moments ago smashed the table in front of Jiang Chen. He couldn't understand how he had suddenly flown out; thankfully, they were on the first floor—if they were higher up, he could have been seriously injured.
Everyone was stunned, completely at a loss for what had just happened. After all, Jiang Chen hadn't even lifted a finger; it was all too strange. Most people present were ordinary individuals who wouldn't connect this incident to any martial arts or supernatural abilities.
"What just happened? Yun Gang, did your bodyguard suddenly go crazy?" Director Zhang asked with concern but felt relieved nonetheless. If Yun Gang was acting so arrogantly because of his powerful bodyguard, then with the bodyguard now incapacitated, Yun Gang would surely back down.
Yun Gang was equally bewildered and rushed to the window to look outside. His bodyguard, who had reached the peak of Inner Energy cultivation, was now lying unconscious in a flowerbed below.
"Did you do this?" Yun Gang glared at Jiang Chen.
Jiang Chen remained silent and slowly took out the ink cartridge from his pen. He bent it slightly and flicked it; the ink shot out like a ray toward Yun Gang's mouth.
Caught off guard, Yun Gang had ink pour directly into his throat and down into his stomach.
"Cough cough... cough cough..." Yun Gang began to cough violently, expelling some black ink from his mouth.
"You... cough cough..."
"What about me? Is ink tasty? Hurry up and get lost," Jiang Luyi admonished sternly. Jiang Chen had already shown mercy today; otherwise, Yun Gang would have been dead without question. Letting him drink some ink was already a form of leniency—he should consider himself lucky.
But Yun Gang felt no luck at all; he glared at Jiang Chen with eyes filled with rage and hatred. He had always been someone who got what he wanted without question; he had never endured such humiliation before. This slight was something he could never accept.
