I don't know how long I had been unconscious when I awoke to a piercing pain. My body felt as if it had been crushed and then forcibly reassembled, every inch of my skin and every vein screaming in agony. I lay on a cold stone bed, the room still dimly lit, with only a flickering green light in the corner casting eerie shadows. 0

This seemed to be a side chamber of the Yama Palace, sparsely furnished yet permeated with the unique oppressive atmosphere of Nine Nether Manor. I could sense the presence of guards outside; there was no escape for me. 0

Struggling to sit up, I focused inwardly on my dantian, only to find it empty, even more so than when I was at Lingxiao Pavilion. I could even feel faint cracks within it. That demon, Li Ye Jin, truly regarded me as nothing more than a disposable tool! 0

Humiliation and anger surged within me once more, but they were quickly overshadowed by a deeper sense of helplessness. In the face of absolute power, my hatred felt so pale and laughable. 0

The days that followed were akin to falling into an endless abyss. 0

Li Ye Jin seemed particularly interested in me as his "Container," summoning me almost every couple of days. Each time, I was subjected to the excruciating process of having my spiritual energy forcibly drained. It felt as though he was conducting some kind of experiment on my body—sometimes extracting energy, other times injecting his domineering Yin Han power into me, wreaking havoc within. 0

I was like a candle flickering in the wind, my spiritual energy repeatedly siphoned away, leaving my body increasingly weak and my mind on the brink of collapse. Yet that stubbornness deep within me would not allow me to fall. Gritting my teeth, I silently endured everything like a wild grass struggling for survival in dire circumstances. 0

Strangely enough, amidst the relentless torment, my body began to exhibit unusual signs. Deep within my dantian, that area believed to be the " Waste Veins," occasionally emitted a faint yet intensely hot aura under Li Ye Jin's forceful impact. This aura clashed with his injected Yin Han power; each time it manifested, my suffering doubled but also brought an inexplicable sense of… strength? 0

Even more bizarrely, after one particularly agonizing episode, I noticed faint dark red lines emerging beneath the skin of my lower abdomen, resembling fleeting flames or totems. 0

These changes seemed to catch Li Ye Jin's attention as well. He began observing me for longer periods, his gaze growing increasingly inscrutable. Sometimes, when his cold fingertips brushed against those lines, I could even sense a momentary disruption in his aura—though fleeting, it was enough to send chills down my spine. What was he probing for? 0

The abnormalities in my body filled me with dread but also sparked a flicker of hope. Perhaps… my body was not entirely useless? Maybe I could use these peculiarities to find an opportunity to escape? 0

One deep night, taking advantage of a guard shift change, I mustered all my remaining strength and stealthily slipped out of the room. The nights in Nine Nether Manor were even more sinister than the days; under the dark purple sky, only the ghostly figures of patrolling guards and distant flickering lights remained. Holding my breath, I pressed against the walls and cautiously made my way toward where I remembered the flying boat had docked. 0

However, I was ultimately too naive. 0

Just as I thought I was about to successfully slip out of the palace grounds, a shadow appeared before me like a ghost and blocked my path. It was Li Ye Jin! He had arrived silently at some point and stood quietly in the shadows, his gaze heavy as he looked at me like a foolish rabbit walking into its own trap. 0

“Where do you think you're going?” His voice revealed no hint of emotion. 0

Fear gripped me as I turned to run, but an invisible force held me firmly in place, rendering me immobile. 0

He walked slowly toward me and lifted my chin with his hand, forcing me to meet his gaze. His fingertips were icy cold; his eyes were colder still—capable of freezing one's very soul. “It seems This Seat's lesson wasn't enough for you.” 0

I expected him to torment me as before; surprisingly, he merely looked deeply into my eyes before releasing me and speaking blandly to the air beside him: “Take her back and keep a close watch.” 0

Two guards appeared silently and once again escorted me back to that cold prison cell. Li Ye Jin didn't even spare me another glance as he turned and melted into the deeper darkness. 0

His reaction chilled me more than any torture could have; he clearly regarded me as insignificant. My attempt at escape was nothing more than an inconsequential farce. 0
