As he glided closer to her, she gently took Cao Ming's hand and slowly retreated. At that moment, Cao Ming's speed in the water surpassed her retreating pace, causing him to inch closer to her body. In the water, he could admire her exquisite figure hidden beneath the surface, and the more he looked, the clearer it became. Without hesitation, he pretended to lose control and deliberately bumped into her embrace. She quickly helped him up, and as he scrambled to stand, he seized the opportunity to sneak a couple of touches on her waist and hips. She remained oblivious, laughing as she said, "Look! You're swimming much better now!"
Cao Ming grinned foolishly at her, and she seemed delighted as she retreated back to the pool's edge, waving at him, "Come on, swim back!"
Cao Ming swam towards her again. This practice method was fantastic; not only was his swimming improving, but his eyes were also enjoying a feast. As soon as he touched her palm, he pinched her palm with his thumb. She thought it was just a nervous reaction and leaned down to the water's surface to comfort him. Once again, Cao Ming caught sight of her rounded figure. In the water, without the pull of gravity, it appeared even rounder and more alluring. Suddenly flustered, he began to struggle clumsily. She hurriedly lifted him up, and in the chaos, he rubbed against her chest a few times.
Cao Ming had indeed swallowed some water and smiled apologetically. She reassured him, "It's okay; just practice a few more times. Want to try again?"
He eagerly agreed, and they continued their back-and-forth practice. Unbeknownst to them, they gradually increased the distance between them. Cao Ming was indeed becoming more adept at it; with each success, his enthusiasm grew.
However, about ten minutes later, during one return trip, he suddenly began to struggle underwater again. She rushed over to pull him up. As soon as he surfaced, he clung to her like a koala bear. She giggled and asked, "What happened? What do you look like?"
Cao Ming awkwardly climbed down and said, "My leg cramped up."
It turned out that his left thigh muscle couldn't handle the exertion after so much activity. Knowing that overexertion wasn't good for him either, she said, "I think you've done really well today; let's take a break!"
Cao Ming nodded in agreement as they walked to the pool's edge and climbed up using the handrails. Following behind her, he admired how she emerged from the water like a lotus flower. She walked over to a lounge chair, took off her swimming goggles, and returned wearing a pair of rimless glasses. It was then that Cao Ming realized how beautiful she was—she had large sparkling eyes and finely drawn eyebrows that were clearly painted on. He also removed his goggles, and for the first time, they could see each other's faces clearly.
"Thank you so much," Cao Ming said while rubbing his leg.
"Not at all," she replied. "I see you're learning very diligently; just don’t mind my chatter."
"You’re too kind," Cao Ming responded; this woman exuded elegance—he felt incredibly lucky today.
"Let's go soak in the massage pool; it will be good for your leg," she suggested.
The ultrasonic massage pool was nearby. She stepped in first while Cao Ming limped over and sat on the edge of the marble pool. The water was quite warm; glancing at the thermometer on the wall showed it was 40°C. He dipped his feet in and felt very comfortable.
The pool had three tiers of stone steps; Cao Ming sat on the top tier where the water reached halfway up his legs while she sat beside him on the second tier. With firm fingers, she kneaded above his knee and asked, "Does it still hurt? Let me massage it for you; this muscle is sore, right?"
