After tidying up, only two Skeletons remained on the ground. The Skeletons could be dealt with later; he needed to head to the center of the lake to retrieve the materials he had long coveted. Just as Mo Wen was about to rise and collect the golden stone from the Lava Lake, he noticed Xiao Hei still circling around the two Skeletons, its eyes fixed on the center of their foreheads, making soft sounds of "Wu Wu." "Hmm, could there be something behind these bones?" The bone at the forehead had already been shattered by Mo Wen. When he removed the fragments, he discovered a fist-sized core inside. Mo Wen suddenly realized this was a Beast Core, equivalent to a Dan Core found in the Dan Tian of a human cultivator above the Qi Binding Realm.
Looking at the two glowing red Beast Cores in his hands, Mo Wen couldn't help but smile broadly; their value surpassed that of the Crocodile Skin and teeth, and they had suffered minimal damage. However, when he glanced down, he found Xiao Hei also staring at the Beast Cores in his hands.
"Do you want them? Can you digest them?"

According to records, Yang Yan Gold was sourced from deep within lava; when it first emerged from lava, it emitted a dazzling red light before solidifying into a stone form—an excellent material for crafting weapons. This must have been the source of the light he had seen that night. Moreover, this Yang Yan Goldstone appeared to have high purity; after refinement, it should yield a substantial piece. At that moment, he felt like hugging Xiao Hei and showering it with kisses. If it weren't for Xiao Hei leading him here, he would never have obtained this Yang Yan Gold.

By the time Mo Wen approached, Xiao Hei had already uncovered a nest of eggs beneath the stones—these were the eggs of the two Lava Fire Crocodiles. Upon inspecting them one by one, he found there were twenty in total, each about the size of an adult's head. Mo Wen took twelve of them that lacked embryos and covered the rest back up with stones.
"This is called sustainable development; do you understand? These eggs will hatch into new Lava Fire Crocodiles..." He explained this concept of sustainability to Xiao Hei, who was still focused on the stone mortar.
He then gathered some stones to set up a simple cooking station and began preparing a meal using meat from the two Lava Fire Crocodiles. After an hour passed, the crocodile meat started sizzling and releasing oil while mixing with spices that filled the air with an enticing aroma. Since leaving their wooden cabin in the forest, they hadn't enjoyed a warm meal; they had only subsisted on dry rations. Looking at the roasted meat before him, Mo Wen suddenly realized that having a good meal in this world wasn't as easy as it seemed. However, his thoughts couldn't withstand his hunger for long; they each took half and began feasting.
Watching Xiao Hei eat heartily, Mo Wen decided to take a break before continuing their journey. It seemed Xiao Hei understood his intention as it lay down on the ground to digest its food.
