Without waiting for Ao Bing to refuse, Nezha crouched down and gestured for him to climb on. Ao Bing hesitated for a moment, but the pain and reality forced him to accept the help. He carefully lay on Nezha's back, gently wrapping his arms around Nezha's shoulders.
Nezha stood up effortlessly; Ao Bing's weight was nothing to him after years of training. With one hand holding his phone for light and the other supporting Ao Bing's legs, he slowly made his way toward the dormitory.
"I'm sorry for the trouble," Ao Bing murmured, his breath brushing against Nezha's ear, bringing an unexpected warmth.
"Don't say that," Nezha replied, his voice softer than usual. "We're roommates; it's only natural to help each other."
He felt Ao Bing's body relax slightly on his back, and for some reason, this stirred a strange sense of satisfaction within him.
Upon reaching the dormitory door, Nezha gently set Ao Bing down against the wall and fumbled for his keys to unlock the door.
"Oh no," Nezha suddenly exclaimed, "I think I left my keys at the training ground."
"It's fine, use mine." Ao Bing pulled out his keys from his pocket and handed them to Nezha.
The door opened, but the dormitory was pitch black. Nezha used his phone for light, carefully guiding Ao Bing inside and helping him sit on the bed.
"Wait here; I'll go find the first aid kit," Nezha said, placing the phone on the table to cast a faint glow in the room.
He opened the wardrobe and rummaged through it until he finally found a small first aid kit. Just as he was about to close the cabinet door, a strange sound suddenly echoed through the dormitory, resembling a buzzing electrical noise.
"What’s that?" Nezha asked alertly as he turned around, only to see Ao Bing wearing a similarly puzzled expression.
In the next moment, a powerful surge of electricity erupted from the wall socket, flickering with blue and white light. The current danced through the air like a living creature, forming a constantly twisting sphere of light.
"Be careful!" Nezha shouted, dropping the first aid kit and rushing towards Ao Bing. Just as the strange current surged toward Ao Bing, Nezha dashed in front of him, arms outstretched.
"Nezha! No!" Ao Bing cried out in terror, but it was too late.
The electricity struck Nezha directly, enveloping him in a blinding glow. In that instant, time seemed to freeze. Ao Bing watched in horror, expecting to see Nezha suffer from the electric shock, but that gruesome scene never materialized.
Instead, the currents appeared to be drawn toward Nezha, all flowing into his body. His eyes sparkled with an unusual golden light, and a faint red aura radiated from him. He extended his hands, palms facing the current, seemingly controlling its direction.
"What is this..." Ao Bing stared in shock, his eyes wide.
As the last trace of electricity was absorbed, Nezha took a deep breath and slowly exhaled. He turned to Ao Bing with an awkward smile. "Uh... are you okay?"
Ao Bing seemed unable to process everything he had just witnessed, staring blankly at Nezha. "You... how did you do that?"
"Do what?" Nezha feigned ignorance, but his eyes flickered, clearly hiding something.
"You just controlled the electricity, and your eyes..." Ao Bing hesitated. "They turned golden."
Nezha fell silent for a moment, as if contemplating how to respond. Just then, the dormitory lights suddenly flickered back on; power had been restored.
"Ah, the power's back!" Nezha sighed in relief, as if he had found an excuse to evade the question. "Let's take care of your ankle first."
He crouched down, opened the first aid kit, and took out bandages and ointment. Ao Bing watched Nezha's actions, his eyes filled with confusion and shock, but he did not press further. Instead, he silently extended his injured foot.
