"Of course not!" Qin Baonan quickly replied, surprised by how dramatically things had changed. However, Jiang Chen helping his granddaughter cancel the engagement was indeed in line with his wishes.
"Good, since you all have no objections, I will head back to the hotel now. I hope you can all be consistent in your words; otherwise, you won't need to exist," Jiang Chen stated. His seemingly calm tone instilled fear in both the Qin Family and the Yan Family.
Qin Xiaoya drove Jiang Chen back to the hotel. "Are you leaving tomorrow? I wonder when I will see you again?"
"Yes, I will return tomorrow! But you will see me again soon because I will come back at the end of the month!" Jiang Chen smiled.
"You're coming back at the end of the month? Great! Do you have something planned?" Qin Xiaoya asked excitedly.
"A childhood friend is getting married during the National Day holiday. By the way, Qin Xiaoya, please help me prepare a house; I plan to gift it to him. This friend doesn't have a place in the capital yet," Jiang Chen said.
"Sure, it's a small matter!" Qin Xiaoya replied.
In the Qin Family Villa, after Jiang Chen left, Qin Baonan eagerly asked Yan Wen, "Nephew, are you really willing to cancel the engagement?"
"Yes, are you afraid of a young man from the Yan Family?" Qin Liao chimed in sarcastically.
At this point, Yan Wen wore a helpless expression. He ignored Qin Liao and said to Qin Baonan, "Qin Bo, what if I don't want to? Do you know who Jiang Chen is? Only Qin Liao remained unwilling to accept it, but upon hearing how formidable Jiang Chen was, he refrained from voicing any objections.
"Since the engagement has been canceled, this banquet is also off. Let's head back now!" Yan Wen announced on behalf of the Yan Family. With that, he led the Yan Family away.
The other guests also left reluctantly.
When Qin Xiaoya returned home, only her parents were waiting for her. However, they were quite pleased. With their daughter having connected with such a powerful figure, who would dare look down on her in the future?
Jiang Chen returned early the next morning without letting Qin Xiaoya see him off. He spent several peaceful days cultivating at Quiet Villa. October was just around the corner.

At the hotel, Jiang Chen met his old friend Wang Shun Yuan, who was as warm and polite as ever.
In the hotel, there were two college roommates of Wang Shun Yuan, introduced as Liu Ying and Gao Kang. Since they were Wang Shun Yuan's roommates, Jiang Chen struck up a conversation with them to get a brief understanding of the situation.
