Shen Gongbao walked into the dormitory, surveying the surroundings. His gaze lingered briefly on Ao Bing's Dragon Clan Ancient Texts and Nezha's Flame Rune before he took a seat at the chair Nezha indicated.
"I have been observing you both," Shen Gongbao stated directly, "not out of malice, but out of a sense of responsibility."
"Responsibility?" Ao Bing raised an eyebrow. "What kind of responsibility?"
"The responsibility of an educator," Shen Gongbao explained. "Both of you possess extraordinary potential and power, yet you have not fully understood or mastered them. As someone who understands the essence of these powers, I feel it is my duty to offer some guidance."
Nezha and Ao Bing exchanged glances, each seeing wariness and confusion reflected in the other's eyes.
"What do you mean by 'guiding' us?" Nezha asked bluntly.
Shen Gongbao smiled slightly. "First, let's talk about you, Nezha. The flame power within you is far beyond what you currently exhibit. It is an energy known as Demon Sphere Power, containing boundless possibilities."
"Demon Orb?" Nezha repeated the term, feeling a twinge of unease. "That doesn't sound good."
"The name is merely a facade," Shen Gongbao shook his head. "The key lies in how to wield this power. Demon Sphere Power can destroy or create; it can bring disaster or hope. Everything depends on the choices of its wielder."
He turned to Ao Bing. "And you, Ao Bing, as the heir of the Dragon Tribe, bear significant responsibilities. But have you ever considered whether the traditions of the Dragon Tribe are always correct? Do you have the right to choose your own destiny rather than merely following your family's arrangements?"
Ao Bing frowned. "What are you trying to say?"
"What I'm saying," Shen Gongbao said softly, "is that you both have the right to make your own choices instead of being bound by so-called 'fate' or 'responsibility.' I once tried to gain freedom through power and ended up with the opposite result. But you can take a different path—achieving true freedom through knowledge and wisdom."
Nezha felt confused. "So, you are here to encourage us to rebel against our fate?"
Shen Gongbao smiled. "Not to rebel, but to understand and accept. Understand the essence of your power, realize the significance of your choices, and then make decisions that truly belong to you. That is where I hope to assist you."
Ao Bing pondered for a moment. "Why? Why are you willing to help us even after we sealed your powers?"
"Perhaps it's because I see the potential within you," Shen Gongbao replied. "Maybe it's because I wish to atone for my past mistakes by helping you. Or perhaps it’s simply curiosity—wanting to see where you will ultimately go."
The room fell into a brief silence as Nezha and Ao Bing contemplated Shen Gongbao's words. Although they still couldn't fully trust this former adversary, his words had indeed touched upon certain aspects of their hearts—thoughts about power, responsibility, and choice.
"It's getting late; I should take my leave," Shen Gongbao said as he stood up. "Remember, whatever choice you ultimately make, ensure that it is what you truly desire, not something forced upon you by others."
He walked to the door but suddenly paused, turning back to look at Nezha. "By the way, Nezha, there is one thing I must tell you: your destiny is far more extraordinary than you can imagine."
With that, he gave a slight bow and left the room, leaving Nezha standing in place, filled with questions and unease.
Who exactly is Shen Gongbao? How does he know so much about me and Ao Bing? Is his assistance and guidance genuinely altruistic, or does he have some hidden agenda?
With these questions in mind, Nezha returned to Ao Bing's side. Seeing Ao Bing's thoughtful expression, Nezha realized he was pondering the same issues. The two exchanged a knowing smile, understanding each other's thoughts without needing words—regardless of Shen Gongbao's intentions, as long as they stood united, they could face any challenge together.
