Shen Gongbao's expression instantly twisted into a sinister snarl, the gentle facade he once wore completely vanished. "Foolish boy! Do you think this will stop me? I have waited for this moment for a thousand years, and I will not let anyone ruin my plans!"
Before his words faded, Shen Gongbao formed hand seals, and a surge of dark energy erupted from his body, transforming into countless tendrils that lunged toward Nezha. Nezha quickly dodged while unleashing flames for defense.
"Your power is far from awakened," Shen Gongbao sneered. "With your current abilities, you are no match for me!"
Just as Nezha found himself at a disadvantage, a beam of golden light suddenly descended from the heavens, striking Shen Gongbao and forcing him back several steps.
"Taiyi Senior!" Nezha exclaimed in surprise.
Aunt Taiyi emerged from the shadows, wielding a shimmering golden whisk, her expression serious. "Shen Gongbao, you truly have malicious intent. To use a child to resurrect Lady Shiji is utterly insane!"
Shen Gongbao staggered but managed to regain his footing, a strange smile creeping onto his face. "Taiyi Zhenren, long time no see. Do you really think this can stop me? The plan has already begun; no one can thwart it!"
With that, Shen Gongbao abruptly seized the crystal ball containing Lady Shiji's soul and injected it with dark energy. The crystal ball immediately turned dark red, the purple light within flickering violently as if something was about to break free.
"It’s already too late!" Shen Gongbao cackled. "Even without the Demon Sphere Power, I can briefly awaken the goddess's consciousness with the power of the full moon! Nezha, you will ultimately become our source of strength; it's only a matter of time!"
Seeing this, Aunt Taiyi swiftly waved her whisk, casting a net of golden light in an attempt to envelop the crystal ball. "Not on my watch!"
Shen Gongbao dodged the attack with a swift motion while chanting incantations. The purple light within the crystal ball grew even stronger, and a faint female silhouette began to take shape inside.
"Nezha, stop him!" Aunt Taiyi shouted as she engaged Shen Gongbao in battle.
Nezha took a deep breath, focusing all his energy to channel the Demon Sphere Power within him. He felt an unprecedented surge of heat coursing through his body; flames erupted from his hands, burning brighter and hotter than ever before.
"Fire Release: Flame Dragon Palm!"
A fire dragon erupted from Nezha's palm, charging straight for the crystal ball. Shen Gongbao was taken aback and hurriedly formed seals to defend himself, but the fire dragon was unstoppable and collided directly with the crystal ball.
"No!" Shen Gongbao shouted in terror.
Cracks appeared on the surface of the crystal ball as purple light leaked through the gaps. The silhouette inside emitted a piercing scream as if enduring immense pain.
"You foolish boy! Do you know what you're doing?" Shen Gongbao roared. "If Lady Shiji dissipates like this, you will become the enemy of the Li Yang Sect! They will hunt you down at all costs!"
Nezha did not cease his attack; instead, he intensified his energy output. "Then let them come! I'm not afraid!"
The cracks on the crystal ball widened further; the purple light dimmed as the silhouette began to disintegrate. Seeing that all hope was lost, Shen Gongbao's face turned pale.
"This isn't over yet!" he gritted his teeth and declared. "Although Lady Shiji's soul is damaged, it has not completely dissipated. As long as the Demon Sphere Power remains, we will have another chance to rise again!"
With that, Shen Gongbao suddenly pulled out a talisman from his robe, biting his finger hard enough to draw blood and dripping it onto the paper. The talisman ignited instantly, and a black portal appeared behind him.
"Today, I will take a step back, but don’t think this is the end!" Shen Gongbao stepped back a few paces and, standing before the teleportation portal, said meaningfully, "Nezha, do you think you understand the truth about the Demon Orb? That is merely the tip of the iceberg. The real secret is far more astonishing than you can imagine. We will meet again!"
