Jiang Chen was not in a hurry; Qin Xiaoya had already sent someone with the keys, so she would definitely arrive. If she was late, it must have been due to some issues on the road. It wasn't an urgent matter, so Jiang Chen decided against calling to rush her.
"Let's wait another ten minutes," Huang Lin insisted, and the others had no choice but to agree.
As they anxiously waited, about five minutes later, a Rolls-Royce pulled up. Anyone who could drive a Rolls-Royce was certainly not an ordinary person, especially with such a conspicuous license plate: Jing A18188.
"This Immortal Lotus Garden truly lives up to its reputation as a high-end community; there are so many luxury cars. Anyone living here must be successful," Aunt Huang Lin remarked enviously as she saw the Rolls-Royce approach.
"Don't be envious; your son-in-law can't afford a Rolls-Royce?" someone else joked.
"He probably can't. This Rolls-Royce must cost several million. Anyone who can drive a Rolls-Royce likely has a net worth of over a hundred million," Aunt Huang Lin sighed. Her son-in-law did have some money—he could afford a Benz S-Class and bought his wife a BMW 5 Series—but he was still far from being able to buy a Rolls-Royce.
"This is a custom Rolls-Royce Phantom; it costs at least fifteen million, and most people can't even get one customized. My dream car is a pink Rolls-Royce Phantom," Chen Renjing said, her eyes filled with envy.
"Chen Renjing, your red Ferrari is already impressive. I think this Rolls-Royce is too grand for someone like you," Huang Lin laughed.
"If I bought a Rolls-Royce Phantom, I'd definitely hire a driver to take me around while I sit in the back, sipping red wine and listening to music. How wonderful would that be?" Chen Renjing said dreamily; that kind of life was what she considered true luxury.
As this group fantasized about the Rolls-Royce, it suddenly came to a stop right in front of them. The door opened, and a middle-aged man in a suit and white gloves stepped out. His gaze fell directly on Jiang Chen.
"Mr. Jiang, I'm sorry for being late. There was an accident on the road that caused half an hour of traffic; I couldn't help it," the middle-aged man apologized as he approached Jiang Chen.
Seeing this scene, Huang Lin and the others were stunned. It was quite unexpected that someone had actually brought the keys and arrived in a Rolls-Royce; Jiang Chen's friend must have quite the background.
"No problem; let's go inside and take a look at the house," Jiang Chen replied.
The middle-aged man was Qin Xiaoya's driver, and she had repeatedly instructed him to treat Jiang Chen with utmost respect. Naturally, he didn't dare be careless. Seeing that Jiang Chen wasn't upset, he breathed a sigh of relief and hurried to open the door of the Rolls-Royce for him.
"You can just drive ahead and lead the way; we can walk," Jiang Chen smiled.
"Alright," the middle-aged driver nodded. With so many people, there wasn't enough room in the car anyway, so he didn't insist further and got back in to lead the way.
With the Rolls-Royce paving the way, Jiang Chen and his group smoothly entered Immortal Lotus Garden.
At Room 601 of Immortal Lotus Garden, Qin Xiaoya's driver opened the door and led everyone inside for a tour. It was a duplex apartment spanning over one hundred seventy square meters with luxurious decor. Since it was meant to be a wedding house, Qin Xiaoya had already arranged for everything to be set up, filling the space with an atmosphere of newlywed bliss.
