That night, Nezha quietly left the school and set off on his journey to the East Sea. He did not inform anyone of his whereabouts, only sending a text to Captain Li and Zhao Lei: "I have urgent matters to attend to and will be away for a few days. Please help me inform the professors."
At the edge of the East Sea, Nezha faced the boundless ocean and swallowed a Tonghai Pill. A strange coolness spread from his throat throughout his body, and he discovered that he could easily breathe underwater. Without hesitation, Nezha leaped into the sea, swimming deeper.
As he descended, the water pressure increased and the temperature dropped. An ordinary person would have been crushed in such an environment, but Nezha's Demon Sphere Power formed an invisible shield around him, allowing him to continue forward. However, as Aunt Taiyi had warned, he could clearly feel his strength waning; the fiery energy within him became sluggish and weak.
"Hold on, Ao Bing, I'm coming..." Nezha called out in his heart, hoping that their faint mental connection would reach Ao Bing.
After swimming for an entire day and night, Nezha finally saw a vague light deep in the ocean—there lay the Dragon Palace. As he drew closer, he began to distinguish the magnificent architecture; the Crystal Palace shimmered with a dreamlike glow in the depths of the sea.
Yet beyond the beauty, Nezha keenly sensed an unusual tension surrounding the Dragon Palace. The patrolling guards had multiplied several times over, and tight energy barriers surrounded it, with heavily armed soldiers guarding every entrance.
"It seems things are indeed dire," Nezha thought to himself. "The Dragon Palace wouldn't raise its alert for no reason. Could it be that Lady Shiji is really not dead? Or is there another danger?"
He chose a relatively secluded route to approach the Dragon Palace. Just as he was about to reach the outer barrier, two guards suddenly emerged from the shadows, their spears pointed directly at him.
"Who dares to trespass into the Dragon Palace?" one of the guards barked.
Nezha remained calm and took out the jade token given to him by Aunt Taiyi. "I am a disciple of Taiyi Zhenren. I come with urgent news."
The two guards were visibly taken aback upon seeing the jade token and exchanged glances but remained vigilant. "The token of Taiyi Zhenren is indeed genuine, but you carry the aura of a Demon Orb. According to regulations, you cannot enter. Please leave."
"I must see Prince Ao Bing," Nezha insisted. "This is of great importance; there can be no delay."
"The prince is severely injured and cannot see outsiders," one guard replied, sadness creeping into his tone. "Please leave, Child of the Demon Sphere."
Nezha's heart sank—indeed, Ao Bing was injured! He had to find a way inside, no matter what.
As Nezha pondered his options, a familiar voice rang out from behind him: "Let him in. I vouch for him."
Nezha turned around to see Ao Lie standing not far away, looking at him with a complex expression.
"Eldest Prince!" The two guards immediately bowed but spoke hesitantly. "But regulations..."
"Special circumstances call for special measures," Ao Lie interrupted. "Besides, he has a special relationship with my brother; he might be able to help." With that, Ao Lie gestured for Nezha to follow.
Though Nezha still held reservations about Ao Lie, gaining entry into the Dragon Palace was paramount. He followed Ao Lie through layers of barriers into the inner city.
"You arrived just in time," Ao Lie said softly as they walked ahead. "Ao Bing's condition is worse than we imagined. The side effects of 'Dragon Soul Return to Origin' secret technique far exceeded expectations; he has not only lost his dragon power but has also fallen into a special state of unconsciousness. Even the best physicians in the Dragon Palace are at a loss."
Nezha's heart tightened. "Take me to see him."
Ao Lie nodded and led Nezha through complex palace corridors until they arrived at a tranquil Crystal Palace. The guards here were particularly stern, with ten elite Dragon Clan Guardians stationed at their posts.
"Everyone step back," Ao Lie commanded. "I am bringing a guest to visit the prince."
The Dragon Clan Guardians cast wary glances at Nezha, but they still obeyed Ao Lie's command and cleared the way.
