Aunt Taiyi looked the two of them up and down, especially focusing on Ao Bing's condition. "Your Highness, how is your soul recovering?"
Ao Bing replied respectfully, "Thank you for your concern. I'm feeling much better, but I still need some time to fully recover."
Aunt Taiyi nodded and lowered her voice. "Has the Elder Council accepted your relationship?"
Ao Bing smiled and nodded. "My father has publicly acknowledged Nezha's status, and the Elder Council no longer opposes it."
Aunt Taiyi nodded in satisfaction. "That's good, that's good. I knew you two would break the chains of fate!"
After bidding farewell to the enthusiastic Aunt Taiyi, Nezha and Ao Bing arrived at their new dormitory. Upon opening the door, both of them were surprised and widened their eyes— the dormitory was much more spacious than they had imagined, featuring separate bedrooms, a living room, a bathroom, and even a small kitchen.
What was even more astonishing was a huge photo hanging on the wall; it was a picture of Nezha and Ao Bing at the music festival.
"This... is too extravagant, right?" Nezha said awkwardly. "It feels like we've moved into a museum."
Ao Bing also felt a bit uneasy. "It seems the school really considers us special figures."
They set down their luggage and began checking every corner of the dormitory. In the kitchen, the refrigerator was stuffed with food; in the bathroom, various toiletries were fully stocked; on the bookshelf, there were not only literary works that Ao Bing liked but also football magazines and game guides that interested Nezha.
"They really did their homework," Nezha remarked. "They even know what I like."
Ao Bing pondered thoughtfully. "This kind of treatment makes me a bit uneasy. I can't shake the feeling that there might be some reasons behind it that we don't know."
Nezha flopped onto the sofa casually and said, "Don't think too much about it, Ao Bing. Maybe the school just wants to boost its reputation? After all, having two 'world-saving' heroes on campus must be good for enrollment."
Ao Bing forced a smile but still furrowed his brow. Nezha noticed his worry and got up to sit beside him, gently wrapping an arm around his shoulder. "Don't worry; no matter what happens, we can face it together."
Leaning against Nezha's shoulder, Ao Bing whispered, "I just hope this sudden 'hero' status won't bring us more trouble."
Just as Nezha was about to respond, his phone suddenly rang. Seeing the name on the screen, he was somewhat surprised. "It's my dad."
Upon answering the call, Li Jing's voice immediately came through. "Son, are you back? Your mother and I are waiting for you at the school gate!"
Nezha was caught off guard. "Dad? Why are you here?"
Li Jing's tone was filled with pride. "How could we not come? My son saved the world and became a hero! The whole city is talking about you! Hurry out; we're taking you and Ao Bing out to celebrate!"
After hanging up, Nezha smiled wryly at Ao Bing. "Looks like our 'hero's return' ceremony isn't over yet. My parents are waiting for us at the school gate."
Ao Bing straightened his clothes. "Then let's go meet them. After all, our relationship is now public; it's time to formally meet my future in-laws."
Nezha momentarily lost his words, his face unconsciously flushing red. "Hey, who... who are future in-laws?"
Ao Bing chuckled softly and walked toward the door. "Come on; let's not keep them waiting too long."
At the school gate, Li Jing and Lady Yin waited anxiously. As soon as she spotted Nezha and Ao Bing, Lady Yin rushed forward and tightly embraced Nezha. "My precious son, you scared me to death!"
Nezha, feeling a bit embarrassed, returned the hug. "Mom, I'm fine. See? I'm perfectly okay."
