Aelia sat in her chamber, the Black Rose and Colored Glazed Window allowing the light of the blood moon to filter through. Qin Si knelt on the Persian Velvet Blanket, carefully tying butterfly satin stockings for Luna.
Suddenly, the infant rolled towards the Gilded Candelabra, her small hands, sticky with Honey cake crumbs, accurately extinguishing three warning magical candles.
"Be careful not to burn yourself, little ancestor!" Qin Si exclaimed, hurriedly wrapping her reddened fingertip in a silver Si Pa. The Pearl Tassel in her hair swayed with her movements. "Madam has specially ordered twenty sets of Academy Robes for you, embroidered with glowing Star Moon Patterns."
Aelia paused momentarily while reviewing reports from the Border Army; the Tiny Inscriptions on the Parchment blurred as ink spread.
She watched as Luna deliberately used magic to stick cake crumbs all over the Crystal Chandelier, lightly tapping the Gilded Armor against the jade table. "Next month, on Shuo Yue's day, you must go to Silverlight Academy."
Luna's command over the floating Honey Jar came to an abrupt halt as it crashed down, shattering on the Enamel Color Peacock Stone Tiles.
The light in her pupils flickered out suddenly; she clutched Aelia's Peacock Blue skirt and shook her head vigorously, causing her Star Moon Hairpin to jingle softly.
"Mother clearly said... as long as Luna learns to control Lunar Phase Resonance..." The infant's sobs were laced with a strange Zhen Chan, and a glass Eye from the nightingale Centaurea Specimen on the windowsill shattered in response.
The hidden magical pet Qiu Qiu was startled into a puff of fur, rolling into a ball and retreating into the folds of a Tapestry.
Aelia conjured a snow-blue barrier with her fingertip to shield against the splattering Maple Syrup. The Gilded Armor brushed against her daughter's Crescent Moon Birthmark on her forehead. "Last week when you reflected Lucius's Frost Curse into a rain of flames, the entire West Tower nearly melted into Maple Syrup."
Luna suddenly recalled the bloodied Hair from last night's mirror. She tiptoed and tugged at her mother's Moonstone Necklace. "But those old fossils at the academy don’t even understand Blood Moon Resonance!" She deliberately wrapped her voice in the soft tone of a three-year-old while secretly crushing a piece of magical candy with her left hand, using Sugar Coating to draw an Anti-Scrying Rune on Qin Si's skirt.
"At least you could make some friends your age." Aelia magically restored the necklace that had been pulled apart, unaware that hair sealed within Zhui Zi was seeping out Blood Pearls. "You and your Three Brothers when you were young..."
"A Great Mage doesn’t need playmates!" Luna suddenly shouted as she smashed a floating juice cup. Freshly squeezed Berry juice twisted into bizarre symbols on the barrier membrane.
Qiu Qiu popped out from behind the Tapestry, terrified as it swallowed up the curse pattern that was almost formed.
Qin Si hurriedly picked up the struggling little Luna and gently rocked her while humming a Fairy Lullaby to soothe her magical energy.
Luna inhaled the lavender scent from the maid's collar and suddenly noticed the black rose mark emerging on the nape of her neck—this was clearly a mark belonging to the corrupted maid from the original story.
"The lady has specially prepared Starlight Candy for you as a snack at the academy." Qin Si conjured a moonlight Liuli Jar that hummed a tune, unaware that a hair was slipping through the jar's gap. "You can meet new friends every day."
Luna curled up in her velvet swaddle, pretending to sleep as she listened to Aelia's voice gradually fade away while assigning duties to the Chief Guard for the academy's protection.
As the blood moon rose directly above the Spire, where the skeletal Feng Ling resided, she opened her eyes, bit her fingertip, and used her blood to draw a shrinking spell on her silk pillowcase.
Qiu Qiu spat out a magic pocket that had been hidden for half a month—it was a Dimensional Bag she had traded with a Kitchen Sprite for breakfast pancakes.

When she tried to put in her Crystal Shoe, she discovered a rose thorn entwined with black mist stuck in the heel.
"Brother San's Frost Magic..." Luna sealed the Poison Spike with her Star Moon Hairpin when she suddenly heard the crisp sound of ice crystals growing in the courtyard.
She tiptoed to peek through the Colored Window and saw Lucius, who should have been carving roses, instead using an Ice Blade to cut into his wrist, from which glowed not blood but azure magical liquid.
The moment Qin Si entered with warm milk for bedtime, Luna quickly rolled under her bed, wrapped in her invisibility cloak.
Once the sound of the maid's Pearl Shoes faded down the Spiral Staircase, she grabbed Qiu Qiu, who was sneaking some Starlight Candy, and stepped onto a floating spell to wobbly climb up to the Rose Windowsill.
Moonlight stretched the castle's Castle Spire into a clawing monster. Luna glanced back at the moving Family Portrait on the wall of her dormitory.
Suddenly, Aelia in the image broke free from its Frame and reached out to her, but as Blood Moonlight shone upon her, she froze back into an elegant smile.
"Qiu Qiu, lead the way!" The infant whispered as she poked at her pet transformed into a fluffy cloud. The Star Moon Hairpin suddenly burst forth with Yin Hui, illuminating the Window Lattice and Secret Pattern.
It was then that she noticed that the Castle Outer Wall had become overgrown with magical vines shaped like blood vessels, each tendril sticking to a face resembling Qian Jiao.
Luna tied the Dimensional Bag to Qiu Qiu's tail and stepped over the windowsill embedded with Demon Crystals.
The night wind lifted the hem of her robe, embroidered with Counter-curse Runes, while the Floating Spell Paper hidden in her socks was stained a dark red by the blood moon.
As she was about to release her grip on the ivy, she suddenly noticed an Ice Crystal Rose had appeared in her palm—exactly the kind sculpted by Lucius during the day, but nestled within its petals was a glowing blue Magic Cocoon.
When Luna's embroidered robe snagged on the Window Lattice and Secret Pattern, the Ice Crystal Rose unexpectedly bloomed in her palm.
The Magic Cocoon within cracked open a small seam, and glowing blue powder dusted the Blood Vessel vines on the city walls, causing the faces of those from Qian Jiao to fall silent like stone carvings.
Seizing the opportunity, she pinned her Star Moon Hairpin onto the ivy, and it instantly transformed into Silver Scissors that cut through the magical barrier.
"Meow!" Qiu Qiu was pierced by a vine, tearing its fur, and a piece of Starlight Candy fell from the Dimensional Bag.
At the moment the Sugar Paper burst, the moonlight across the Castle Outer Wall suddenly twisted. Luna took this chance to roll down but tripped over her floating robe as she landed, tumbling into the magical forest shrouded in Zi Wu.
The infant quickly got up, brushing off her bottom covered in Ye Lu, and raised her chin at a startled glow bat: "A planned landing." She tugged at her crooked starry nightcap and found Qiu Qiu surrounded by three mushroom-shaped Little Mage creatures licking its fur—those beings with transparent wings were using Luna’s magic to treat their pet's wounds.
"Human Cub!" The leading Mogwai had a glowing blueberry atop its head, its tentacles shaking off Stardust. "The Thorned Crown is bleeding; hurry back to Stone House!" It pointed towards the distant Castle Spire where a Bloodlight Column spun, continuously emitting searching magic.
Luna hugged her Dimensional Bag while lying in a pile of pine needles, intentionally scattering Starlight Candy over the mushroom circle: "I want to be Mogwai Queen!" She watched as the Little Mage creatures frantically caught falling candy with their mushroom umbrellas while her fingertip quietly traced out a Sleep Charm.
Moonlight penetrated through the curse beneath her socks, casting a dancing Rabbit Shadow on the moss.
"But..." The blueberry Mogwai offered a blanket woven from Silk, its Mushroom Cap emerging with worried ripples. "At dawn, Human Face Vines will..." It was suddenly silenced by its companion as several Little Mage creatures held hands to form a glowing circle around Luna, protecting her at the center.
The infant pretended to be asleep, peeking through her eyelashes at the Mogwai constructing a Protective Barrier with Glowing Spores.
As the last Shou Ye Mogwai began to doze off, she pulled out an Academy Robe from her Dimensional Bag and covered herself—its fabric embroidered with Star Moon Patterns resonated with the dawn light, forming a gentle protective aura around her.
The Glorious Demon Fortress was in utter chaos.
Aelia crushed the seventh Communication Crystal, the luminous blue liquid splattered from Lucius's wrist staining her Gilded Armor. "The Ice Crystal Roses in the West Tower have all turned black!"
Leonard's Sword, held by the Chief Guard, was entangled with the still-twitching Devouring Light Vines. "These vines suddenly went berserk last night, the Third Squad..." His report was abruptly interrupted by the explosion of a Family Portrait, revealing Luna's figure being consumed by Blood Mist within the frame.
A muffled thud echoed from the cellar as Qin Si rushed in, her skirt billowing with a burnt smell mixed with Lavender Scent. "The Kitchen Sprite said twenty bags are missing from the Dimensional Bag..." She suddenly fixated on the crack in Aelia's Moonstone Necklace, where Blood Pearls were forming a Skull Pattern in midair.
Lucius burst through the door, an Ice Blade still embedded in his heart. "Mother! The West City Wall..."
He staggered and pointed out the window, where everyone was shocked to see Human Face Vines wildly dancing in the morning sun, each tendril wrapped around pieces of Starlight Candy packaging marked with Tooth Marks.
Aelia's Peacock Blue Long Skirt fluttered without wind as the Border Army reports turned to ash at her feet. "Activate all warning magic candles and notify Silverlight Academy..." Her voice trailed off as the Castle Dome's Crystal Chandelier suddenly fell, scattering thousands of shards, one of which reflected a figure curled beneath an Academy Robe in the forest.
At that moment, Luna was dreaming of her Mother brushing her hair, thorny Rose Vines entwined around them.
Qiu Qiu suddenly woke up, its fur bristling into spikes—it had caught a whiff of burnt scent from the Anti-Scrying Rune on Qin Si's skirt.
In the misty castle corridor, Qin Si bent down to pick up a piece of Crystal Chandelier Fragment.
As her fingertip touched the surface of the crystal, the Counter-curse Script drawn by Luna with Sugar Coating flickered with dark light, illuminating her neck where the Rose Mark became increasingly clear.
