This time, the trip to the Wu Hui was not for the sake of competing for fame and fortune, but rather for trading goods. They brought out most of the inventory from Kao Shu Village, hoping to gain a good harvest at the Wu Hui. As for the children, they were indeed brought along to see the world. Although younger participants were often more valued at the Wu Hui, these children did not meet the realm requirements to participate. This was true not only for Kao Shu Village but also for other villages.
The reason for sending so many people was primarily due to the fact that many mountain bandits would take advantage of the Wu Hui to rob travelers on the road. In the last two Wu Hui events, Erniu had led the team from Kao Shu Village. He was also the only person from Kao Shu Village selected by the Official Family. He had been chosen to join a local unit in his youth, and it was during that time that he cultivated his current realm. Later, he felt that being part of the team did not hold much significance, especially since the village needed him back, so he returned home. Now, after many years without war in the Empire, resources for military training had diminished significantly. Many villages were reluctant to send their children and young people into the army; instead, those Mountain Gates became quite popular. To attract more talented individuals, the conditions offered by these Mountain Gates were increasingly demanding.
"Brother Er Gou, I think you should give it a try; you could definitely win first place," one of them suggested.
"As for me, I think I'll pass. Besides, I have my master's orders to follow and prefer not to stand out too much. It's better to keep a low profile; being free and unrestrained is much nicer," Er Gou replied.
"Haha! That's true; when I left the Official Family back then, I had similar thoughts."

They traveled day and night, and on the tenth day, they arrived at a small town named Small Town. Usually, they sold their goods in this town and met up with several other friendly villages here. The group began to grow larger as more teams joined them along the way. Once they entered Small Town, Erniu issued a gag order—everyone switched to eating dry rations.
A month later, they reached their destination—Moro City. Moro City served as a station city for Moro Station; every team from villages under Wu Hui would arrive here. At this moment, there was a long queue at the city gate filled with people waiting to enter. A notice was posted at the gate: "All inns in the city are fully booked; latecomers may set up camp in designated areas outside." During Wu Hui, private fights were prohibited both inside and outside the city.
The leaders of several villages in their group went to handle camping arrangements. Since their team arrived late, they could only camp outside the city. Erniu received a token from the Official Family; it bore a number indicating their camping site. Following that number, they found their location and began setting up camp.
"Those who haven't participated in Wu Hui might not know that during this event, inn prices in the city skyrocket to several times their usual rates. Even if there were rooms available inside, the Official Family would designate areas outside for those unwilling to stay in town," Erniu explained. He noted that most of those staying in town during Wu Hui were outsiders—large merchant caravans and Mountain Gate factions—while village teams generally opted for camping outside to save on accommodation costs. Moro City had four gates—each with designated camping areas outside where vendors could set up stalls as well. After settling in, Kao Shu Village displayed some of their goods at a stall in front of their campsite.
"Brother Erniu, why don’t you take these goods into town and give it a try?" Mo Wen asked as he looked at what Kao Shu Village had laid out—mostly beast skins and herbs harvested from Cloud Mist Forest—pointing specifically at some processed dried beast meat.
